This study seeks to examine the various attributes that impact health and safety in construction (HSIC) across different companies, stakeholders, and nations. The objective is to identify these attributes and organize them within a framework to facilitate a clearer understanding. The research identified common characteristics that promote the adoption of HSIC, yielding advantages for governmental, private, and public entities. The United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong are considered the leading countries in terms of conducting research on HSIC attributes. There exists significant potential for enhancing the contributions of developing countries. The proposed framework acknowledges a comprehensive set of 61 attributes, which are categorized into four distinct groups: Corporate regulatory, Employee's self-supportive, Workplace regulatory, and Federal regulatory attributes. These attributes function as a framework for clients and policymakers to enhance the quality of HSIC. In forthcoming periods, it is recommended to prioritize the utilization of empirical surveys conducted across diverse locations in order to ascertain the attributes that are deemed of utmost importance and necessitate significant attention.

This study chose Contingency Theory as a theoretical perspective to empirically investigate the role of transformational leadership, training, lecturer engagement, and compensation in improving lecturer performance. The research respondents were 166 lecturers at the College of Economics in Riau Province. The data was processed using PLS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This study proposes lecturer engagement and compensation as a strategy to improve lecturer performance. From the results, it was clear that transformational leadership and education and training affected lecturer performance, lecturer engagement played a role in mediating the effect of leadership and training on lecturer performance, and compensation moderated the effect of lecturer engagement on lecturer performance. These results reinforce the Contingency Theory which states that individual and organizational performance depends on the motivational system and the extent to which the leader has control and influence in certain situations.

This study took the Human Capital Theory as a theoretical perspective to empirically investigate the role of supervisors' supervision in moderating the effect of professionalism and creativity on the performance of public high school teachers in Pekanbaru. The research respondents were 144 teachers, the data were processed using the PLS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study proposed supervisors' supervision as a strategy to improve teacher performance. The results of the study show that professionalism and creativity affect teacher performance—supervisors' supervision plays a role in strengthening teacher performance. These results strengthen the Human Capital Theory stating that a combination of knowledge, skills, innovation, and a person's ability to carry out their duties can create value to achieve goals.

One of the problems students often face is the lack of understanding of their interests and talents which will cause confusion in making future study choices and career plans. Career selection is an expression of personality into the world of work followed by identification of certain occupational stereotypes. Eight intelligences according to dr. Howard Gardner is linguistic, logical, mathematical, visual spatial, musical, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist. This research purpose is to develop a system that produces information and professional recommendations that are in accordance with multiple intelligences of prospective high school students using a combination of Bayes' theorem and weighted product (WP) method. User’s preference value is calculated using the Bayes Theorem method to give each multiple intelligence value which is a criterion. WP method calculation to find professions that match user preferences. Weight of each criterion needed in WP method is calculated by Rank Order Centroid method. WP calculation will produce a ranking of 3 professions according to the input from the user. From system testing results that compared to results from experts, an accuracy of 67.33% is obtained. Based on the accuracy value, it can be said that the accuracy level system is quite good.

Consumer awareness is one where the buyer could take the right decision in purchasing all types of product. Marketers in view of earning profit, neglect the interest of the consumers and this leads to exploitation of the buyers. To investigate the current scenario, this study focused on the consumer awareness in the urban and rural area towards the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) along with the exploitation if any that existed in the market. For this purpose, 557 consumers who were using FMCG products residing in the western region of Tamilnadu were selected through cluster sampling followed by simple random sampling. To meet out the objectives, various statistical tools through SPSS 21 were applied and the result revealed that all the constructs like communication, price, labeling, promotion and unfair trade practices, if any remarkably influencing the consumer awareness. Also, labeling has a noteworthy mediating role between consumer awareness and satisfaction. But there existed a direct negative effect of consumer awareness on the satisfaction. It is suggested that marketers need to focus to fulfill all the rights of the consumers as detailed in the consumerism.

In today’s rapidly changing business environment, franchisees’ market responsiveness is a way to create a sustainable competitive advantage. Drawing on the resource-based view, dynamic capability perspective and relational view, this study examines the relationships between franchisor resources, relational capital, market responsiveness, and franchisee performance. Based on data collected from 152 franchisees in a convenience store chain in Taiwan, the analysis revealed that market responsiveness, franchisor resources and relational capital are all positively related to franchisee performance. Franchisor resources and relational capital positively affect franchisee performance both directly and indirectly through market responsiveness. Furthermore, relational capital has the strongest effect on franchisee performance.

This paper describes the adaptive optimal control of the inventory production system with Weibull-distributed deterioration items. First of all, the dynamic model of the system is presented with all possible disturbances and uncertainties. Then, it is controlled using an adaptive and optimal controller. In this method, by having numerical data from the output of the system without using its dynamic equations, an LQR controller is estimated for it. This is important and practical because in physical systems under significant disturbances and fundamental uncertainties, the dynamic equations of the system will not have the former reliability; And it is possible to change the equations of motion by adding any non-linearity so that the conventional controllers will suffer an error. Finally, it is shown that due to the nature of the system and existing uncertainties, the used method has a clear advantage over other optimal control methods and their application in optimizing the inventory production system in the supply chain.

Transhipment is an important logistics strategy that helps to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce transportation costs. It enables cargo to be transported to multiple destinations using different modes of transportation, such as ships, trains, trucks, and planes. This can help to reduce the overall transportation time and cost, as well as improve inventory management and distribution. In addition to its use in logistics and transportation, transhipment can also be used in other industries such as manufacturing, where it can be used to transfer raw materials or finished products between different facilities or production lines. This research paper examines the role of transhipment in improving the efficiency of spare part delivery systems to the PMPML depots from central workshop Swargate. PMPML has 12 depots in total (including central workshop). In many industries, the supply chain for spare parts is complex, with multiple suppliers, warehouses, and service centres involved. Transhipment, or the transfer of inventory between locations, can help to reduce lead times and improve inventory availability. In this paper, we analyze the impact of transhipment on key performance metrics such as order fulfilment, inventory turnover, and transportation costs. We also discuss the challenges associated with implementing transhipment in spare part delivery systems, including coordination between different parties, data sharing, and system integration.

The purpose of this study is to propose a bundle of HRM practices. Specifically, this study segments HRM practices in non-overlapping practices to examine their role in organizational innovation. The methodological approach is a quantitative approach using a convenient sampling technique to collect valid data of 126 service sector employees across five sales and service centers. The findings of this study reveal that both commitment and innovation driven HRM practices positively impact organizational innovation. Meanwhile, the results have shown that the High Performance Work System does not impact organizational innovation. Thus, this study argues that to confront the challenges associated with an ever-evolving nature of organizations, top management must use integrative HRM strategies that can yield a cumulative effect in driving organizational innovation.

This paper analyses the impact of economic policy uncertainty at the firm level on the inconsistency of words and actions in their digital transformation. Using new quantitative indicators of the gap as well as robust models, we find that firm economic policy uncertainty can exacerbate the gap between what firms say and do about digital transformation. In light of these findings, the paper concludes that there tends to be a certain amount of digital transformation hype among listed firms.
