Solar power is a mature and fast-growing field based on single crystal silicon wafer technology. Although China, Europe and the US are the main markets, 80 percent of the modules are manufactured in Asia. In Vietnam, modules are manufactured in collaboration with Chinese and American manufacturers. In 2017, there were 5 GW of solar panels produced in Vietnam, accounting for 7% of the global market. The domestic solar market is expected to peak at around 1.8 GW/year according to the targets set out in the revised PDP 7. The domestic module production capacity, currently devoted entirely to export, is around 5.2 GW/year, three times the expected maximum capacity of the domestic market. In that context, due to the normal size of factories, only a few parts factories can sell to the domestic market, while the majority still must rely on exports. But it is important to map out a clear roadmap for 12 GW of solar power that will encourage the formation of EPC companies and other domestic service companies in Vietnam to build factories according to the plan. Construction, operation, maintenance, and production for the domestic market has the potential to increase Vietnam's GDP by about 0.25% by 2030 and create more than 25,000 jobs.

This study examines the impact of environmental uncertainty and integrative strategy on growth of firm performance through the mediating role of the Business Model Transformation (BMT) strategy of information communication technology (ICT) in Indonesia. The research data was collected from the executive management of ICT through survey research with 30 questionnaire surveys and exploratory study with seven company leaders through in-depth interviews. This study analyzes the suitability of the overall model through causal relationships using Partial Least Square-Path Modeling (PLS-PM). The results show that the BMT predominantly influences the growth of ICT companies. The BMT is predominantly built by the environmental uncertainty (ET) strategy rather than by integrative capability. Thus, companies need to improve their ability and creativity to anticipate and adapt to any uncertainty that unexpectedly results in dynamic competition.

Today, global competition entails companies having an advantage in supply chain networks to pursue superior performance. This work examines the link between information technology (IT) capability with the firm performance by adopting a lean production approach, vendor-managed inventory, and supply chain practices. The study has surveyed the population of the manufacturing company in East Java, Indonesia, using a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. A total of 111 manufacturing companies (medium and large) were selected from 5420 manufacturing companies listed in the Industrial Department of East Java. The partial least square (PLS) technique was used to analyze the data, using the SmartPLS software version 3.3. Thirteen hypotheses in this study were developed to investigate. The result revealed that all hypotheses of direct relationship were supported. IT capability directly affects lean production, vendor managed inventory, and supply chain practices. Moreover, lean production, vendor-managed inventory, and supply chain practices improve firm performance. Further analysis also indicated that all hypotheses of indirect hypotheses were supported except hypothesis one hypothesis (H9). IT capability indirectly improves firm performance through lean production, vendor-managed inventory, and supply chain practices. The result provides insight for managers and policymakers on enhancing firm performance by improving its IT capability, adopting lean production, vendor-managed inventory, and supply chain practices. This research contributes to reinforcing the supply chain management theory.

It is essential to improve the efficiency of hospitals, especially in the situation of Covid-19. Therefore, the primary purpose of this paper was to examine the effect of supply chain connectivity, perceived ease of use, and task technology fit on big data analytics and efficiency. This study assessed the mediating role of big data analytics as well. A survey questionnaire was developed to collect the data. The data was collected from the employees working in the hospitals of the UAE. For this purpose, convenient sampling was adopted. The questionnaire was adapted from past studies. The questionnaire was distributed among 426 employees. The usable response rate was 73.22%. The gathered data was assessed using PLS 3. The study's findings confirmed the direct effect of supply chain connectivity, perceived ease of use, task technology fit on big data analytics, and efficiency. This study also revealed the significant effect of big data analytics on efficiency. Moreover, the mediating role of big data is also confirmed in the present study. This study fills several theoretical and managerial gaps mentioned. The study's findings are helpful for the policymakers and academicians of the health sector.

The success of the business lies in the effectiveness of the supply chain. Therefore, this study examined the effect of trading partner pressure, knowledge sharing, and digital business strategy on blockchain adoption and supply chain effectiveness. The research design was cross-sectional. For the collection of data, a random sampling technique was adopted, and data was collected from employees of banks. The data was collected in the form of questionnaires. The usable response rate of the study was 61.32%. The gathered data was examined through Smart PLS and SPSS. The study's findings revealed that trading partner pressure, knowledge sharing, and digital business strategy play a significant role in the adoption of blockchain technology. Moreover, the adoption of blockchain technology is the key to improving the effectiveness of the supply chain. In the end, findings also confirmed the mediating effect of blockchain effectiveness. The study's findings are helpful for the policymakers of the banking sector.

Nowadays, smartphones are the leading dominant mobile communication devices, attributed to their multifunctional facilities and the mounting benefits provided by online platforms. From a business perspective, smartphones can be a practical substitute for conducting many business transactions online. Companies have transferred their traditional business models to e-business models employing new technologies. This paper aims to examine the entrepreneurs’ intentions to use smartphone applications in conducting business transactions as well as explore entrepreneurial opportunities in the Jordanian market. The study will use the quantitative method to examine the factors affecting Jordanian entrepreneurs’ intention to use Smartphone applications. A questionnaire was used to collect the required data from the study population. The respondents were selected using a random sampling method to obtain the needed data from entrepreneurs in Amman, Jordan. A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed, and 440 valid questionnaires were returned and included in the analysis. The revealed results show that ease of use, perceived security, and trust significantly influence entrepreneurs’ intentions to use Smartphone applications, while responsiveness shows no significant influence. The current study provides valuable information on the factors that nurture entrepreneurs' intentions to adopt smartphone applications in Jordan. Finally, the smartphone possesses high potential support for entrepreneurs in the business world. Entrepreneurs are advised to integrate smartphones more into business transactions to increase work efficiency benchmarks and boost their businesses.

By integrating the technology acceptance model, the theory of planned behavior, and regulatory focus theory, this study assesses the mediating role of technology perception attributes (i.e., perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness) in the relationship between customer experience and the adoption of e-payment cards during the COVID-19 pandemic in Sudan. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 368 e-payment users in Khartoum and Southern Darfur, the two most highly populated states in Sudan. This study employed convenience sampling and quantitative methodology to clarify the relationship based on structural equation modeling. The empirical findings showed that the customer experience dimensions of cognition and emotion had a significant influence in e-payment adoption and technology perception. Further, they indicated that technology perception had a significant mediating role in the relationship between customer experience and e-payment adoption.

This article will examine the impact of e-service quality management dimensions on decision-making agility at private universities in Jordan. The e-service quality model was extended by adding more dimensions and applying them in a pure service environment. The study used five dimensions to measure the impact of e-services quality management, including efficiency, fulfillment, privacy, responsiveness, and contact on decision-making agility. During the spring semester of 2021, an online questionnaire was distributed randomly at 12 private universities in Jordan. A total of 300 respondents completed and submitted the questionnaire. The results show that the five dimensions of e-service quality have a significant impact on decision-making agility at private universities in Jordan. The result indicates that contact was the most influential factor in decision-making agility. This confirms the importance of having advanced information technology systems and strategies to enhance communication effectiveness. University management can employ these results to enhance existing policies and procedures to improve the quality of e-services provided to boost and maintain competitiveness and distinction. We can anticipate that a university with a high level of decision-making agility can have a better change management cycle and be more flexible in response to market challenges.

Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) has been widely recognized as a useful tool for effectively managing firms’ supply chain activities. Extant research on RFID in the supply chain domain has focused on implementing this technology in various supply chain activities, such as logistics and transportation, assembly and manufacturing. However, the application of RFID in warehousing management has received little attention. This study explores the implementation of RFID in warehousing in the construction sector. The study objectives are twofold. First, it explores the benefits of implementing RFID. Secondly, the study identifies major challenges associated with implementing RFID, which can prevent realizing the full potential of the technology in warehouse operations. The study adopts a qualitative research design by employing a case study approach to achieve these objectives. Specifically, the study undertakes three weeks of field observation and conducts interviews with 9 participants involved in warehouse operations in the construction sector. The findings show RFID implementations could bring significant values to warehouse management related to operational efficiency, service level and warehouse flexibility. However, the study also uncovered several challenges that can block the case firm from capturing the full potential of implementing RFID. The findings can contribute to a better understanding of the application of RFID technology in warehousing. Practitioners can understand the identified challenges to help them tackle them and inform their future decisions regarding further investment in this technology.
