Every nation in the globe endeavours to achieve sustainable growth in its various industries. The construction industry has an enormous contribution to the economy primarily for the developed nations experiencing urgent demands to develop and expand their infrastructure. While this expansion is taking place through projects, it is essential to find the factors affecting completion of project premium. This paper investigates the main time delay and cost overrun causes in construction projects within Oman related to clients, contractors, and consultants. Through a comprehensive literature review, reasons for delays and cost overrun are determined and a survey targeting 100 project managers was conducted to indicate top causes among them. The findings may help the government develop better policy and construction firms to modify criteria procedures to avoid such drawbacks.

The role of sustainability in supply chain is becoming critical due to increasing environment related problems and societal issues. Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) helps in reducing environmental degradation as well as social and economic implications. SSCM practices in Indian industries are in initial stage of implementation and industries find difficult to implement. Therefore, in present research, key enablers to initiate SSCM are recognized and analyzed. This research has recognized twelve enablers with the help of previous researches and expert survey. A Structural framework has been drawn with the use of Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) technique, to understand the relationship among the identified enablers and also to find the reliance of one on another. Further, MICMAC analysis has been employed for evaluating these identified enablers in accordance with Driving power and Dependence power. From ISM Methodology “Government policies and supportive systems” is found to be a key bottom enabler, which is important to implement the SSCM in Indian industries. For further future perspective, Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL), can also be recommended for evaluation purpose. Present research may be helpful to find the importance of different enablers for successful implementation of SSCM in Indian industries.

For decades, due to the increasing generation of waste and its negative environmental impacts, efficient municipal solid waste management (MSWM) has become a major concern of sustainable development. On the other hand, selecting an appropriate strategy remains a critical issue for municipal authorities without applying a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach. This study aims to select the best MSWM strategy from five potential MSW management strategies under various factors that influence waste strategy selection, such as economic, social, technical, and environmental factors. This study used three fuzzy integrated MCDM methods, namely the Decision-Making Trail and Evaluation Laboratory (DMATEL), the Analytic Network Process (ANP) and the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to select best MSWM strategies. The study used data from a survey of experts who had knowledge of waste management. The survey data was then analyzed using the DMATEL, ANP and TOPSIS methods under a fuzzy environment. The Fuzzy DEMATEL method is used to identify the causal relationships among the criteria and sub-criteria, while ANP is applied to determine the relative weights of MSWM strategy selection sub-criterion. Finally, TOPSIS is used to rank the waste management strategies depending on established sub-criteria. The result of fuzzy TOPSIS demonstrated that recycling of municipal solid waste is the best alternative which has the highest closeness coefficient followed by reuse. Thus, the result of this study revealed that MSWM strategies are ranked as: waste recycling (A1), reuse (A2), reduce (A1), energy recovery (A4), and disposal (A5), with closeness coefficient values of 0.80, 0.61, 0.60, 0.47, and 0.17, respectively.

This is so that the company can follow the market's everchanging appetite and is essential to maintaining the company's sustainability. The digital transformation that occurs is fundamental, changing existing procedures and arrangements and creating a new business ecosystem. In carrying out a company transformation, it requires full support and commitment from workers. And the process needs to be conducted by competent leaders, in line with the spirit of change. In this study, the relationship between transformational leadership climate and employee engagement was measured. The research was conducted on banking service companies that have made radical changes related to technology for 2 years. The results showed that the climate created by leaders who adopt transformational leadership styles has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. This research is a preliminary study, and has limitations, including the number of samples and types of companies studied.

The present invention provides a modular drilling assembly having a module for contactless power and data transfer over a nonconductive gap between rotating and non-rotating members of a steering module. The gap usually application data contains a non-conductive fluid, such as drilling fluid, or oil for operating hydraulic devices in the down-hole tool. The down-hole tool in one embodiment is a modular drilling assembly wherein a drive shaft is rotated by a down-hole motor to rotate a drill bit attached to the bottom end of the drive shaft. Generally, there are two main sections on mud motor which are bearing section and power section. The power section generally includes a housing which houses a motor stator within which a motor rotor is rotationally mounted. The power section converts hydraulic energy into rotational energy by reverse application of the Moineau pump principle. The stator has a plurality of helical lobes which define a corresponding number of helical cavities. The rotor has a plurality of lobes which number one fewer than the stator lobes and which define a corresponding plurality of helical cavities. Generally, the greater the number of lobes on the rotor and stator, the greater the torque generated by the motor. Fewer lobes will generate less torque but will permit the rotor to rotate at a higher speed. Based on torque and rotate speed, determine the optimum power can be produced by power section configurations.

The aim of this research is to identify the relationship between online sale and customer value co-creation. In addition, to identify the mediating role of E-Satisfaction and E-Trust in the relationship between the online sale and customer value co-creation. This study selected a sample of 364 customers who shopped from the Modanisa website in Jordan, and a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach was applied in this study to suit the nature of the study and to achieve the desired goals. This approach is based on showing the variables' relationship with each other. In this study, the relationship between online sale and customer value co-creation was influenced by E-trust and E-satisfaction. As per the results have indicated the foregoing, the analysis exhibited a favorable relation between them. E-trust impacts online sale and customer value relationship CO-creation, E-satisfaction affects the connection between the customer and online sales value. In addition, this study proves that online transactions contribute to the CO-creation of customer value for Modanisa. The customer value of CO-creation is, however, influenced by online purchases by E-trust and E-satisfaction in the Modanisa site. The findings of the study show that consumers with the higher online sale are far more committed to rising customer value by enhancing E-trust and E-satisfaction.

The main issue for portfolio managers is to find a feasible schedule that guarantees the availability of the resources required by the activities at the dates they are scheduled, which is the classical objective of the Resource-Constrained Multi-Project Scheduling Problem (RCMPSP). This paper goes one step further and presents an algorithm that solves the RCMPSP where each project has a different priority for the organization. With this information, the algorithm uses a market-based mechanism to determine what activities should receive preferential treatment during the scheduling process. Therefore, among the multiple possible schedules that comply with the resource constraints (i.e. the solution provided by classical approaches to RCMPSP), our approach allows obtaining a schedule for the portfolio in which, beyond minimizing the duration of the portfolio, the activities are scheduled considering the portfolio manager’s priorities.

In recent years, efforts have been made to produce advanced composite materials in order to lessen environmental impact and to extent sustainability. Traditional materials are largely substituted by composites due to their greater properties like flexural strength, low thermal expansion and high strength. Numerous studies are present that show the process of composite materials reinforcement with natural fiber to improve mechanical and thermal properties. The vital aspect of exploitation of natural fiber in composites is associated with biodegradability. An extensive range of different natural fibers has been used for reinforcement till now. In present work, mechanical properties of jute fiber reinforced epoxy and polyester composites manufactured using Taguchi optimization method are investigated, experimentally. It was found that jute reinforced epoxy composite had better mechanical properties than jute polyester composite. Also, Epoxy- jute composite had lower erosion wear rate than polyester jute composites.

The life of many people across the world can face various dangers with incurrence of incidents and unpredictable diseases. Incidents often require quick relief as they directly affect human lives. The process of planning, management and monitoring the flow of relief sources to injured and sick individuals is called relief logistics. When best relief services are provided through available sources, relief logistics appear. In this article, a multi-objective model for relief resources distribution facilities under an uncertain condition is investigated in two ways of demand satisfaction by considering the relief resources accessibility and demand satisfaction in a fuzzy logic. In the presented model, the concepts of cost, chance of demand satisfaction, elevation of response capability of system, discount levels for relief commodities, late satisfaction of demand, hub for accumulation of late and returned orders and special route for time significance in distribution of relief commodities are considered. For the first problem, the chance of relief resources accessibility and for the second problem, demands were investigated using fuzzy logic. Considering the conducted analysis, the demand amount is taken more in the second problem than the first one, which has led to an increase in the cost of the second problem. On one hand, the chance of demand satisfaction with no late orders is higher than the second problem. Satisfaction of demand occurs more in the second problem as well. Thus, these problems should be utilized in a way that suits the space of this problem. To solve the problem and to do the sensitivity analysis, we present a NSGA-II algorithm to deal with multi-objectiveness of the problem. A ε-Constraint method is also proposed to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm.

The complexity and vulnerability of supply chains in today's globalized economy have heightened the significance of understanding and managing disruptions. Supply chain disruptions, ranging from natural disasters to pandemics, can lead to substantial delays, increased costs, and reduced quality, thereby impacting the operational performance and stability of businesses. Considering the theoretical sophistication and substantial relevance of the field, this research seeks to conduct an extensive bibliometric analysis of supply chain disruption. The goal is to offer a thorough summary of recent advancements and ongoing progress in this specific area. Additionally, it aims to pinpoint emerging research patterns that can guide future studies. We performed a bibliometric review of the structure and global trends of disruptions among supply chains, from 1996 to 2024 using techniques such as analysis of (1) the dataset, (2) sources, (3) authors, (4) countries and institutions, (5) documents, and (6) keywords. A total of 1356 bibliographic records from Web of Science databases were analyzed to generate the study’s research data through Scientometrics networks. The paper concludes by discussing the strengths and limitations of the study and suggesting potential avenues for future research, aiming to guide and inform future studies in this critical area of supply chain management. The findings of this study will enhance understanding of the prevailing patterns in this topic, thus laying the groundwork for future research initiatives in this field.
