The COVID-19 surge has mostly affected people and wreaked havoc on multiple sectors of the global economy. This study uses artificial neural networks (ANN) to develop COVID-19 prediction models to minimize the perilous situation. With positive infection data, these hybrid artificial neural network models looked at COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh, India. Then, COVID-19 data were divided into training and testing for simulation. The developed model that takes the previous 14 days into account outperforms the others, depending on the results. According to the developed ANN models for Andhra Pradesh districts, the prediction model that works well and yields positive results is the one that receives lower values of error metrics like MSE, RMSE, MAE, and MAPE and higher values of R2. The hybrid neural network model that considers the previous 14 days for prophecy has suggested anticipating daily positive suffering, notably in areas of Andhra Pradesh, as a result of the collected data. Linear regression, ARIMA, and LSTM have been used for model assessment. The proposed 14-day model statistically surpasses all metrics in RMSE, MAE, MAPE, and R2. This study showed that an ANN-based model can predict the COVID-19 outbreak as well as other epidemics.

This paper recommends a new Many-Objective Teaching-Learning-Based Optimizer (MaOTLBO) to handle the Many-Objective Optimal Power Flow (MaO-OPF) problem of modern complex power systems while meeting different operating constraints. A reference point-based mechanism is utilized in the basic version of Teacher Learning-Based Optimizer (TLBO) to formulate the MaOTLBO algorithm and directly applied to DTLZ test benchmark functions with 5, 7, 10-objectives and IEEE-30 bus power system with six different objective functions, namely the minimization of the voltage magnitude deviation, total fuel cost, voltage stability indicator, total emission, active power loss, and reactive power loss. The results obtained from the MaOTLBO optimizer are compared with the well-known standard many-objective algorithms, such as the Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm based on Decomposition with Dynamical Resource Allocation (MOEA/D-DRA) and Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-version-III (NSGA-III) presented in the literature. The results show the ability of the proposed MaOTLBO to solve the MaO-OPF problem in terms of convergence, coverage, and well-Spread Pareto optimal solutions. The experimental outcomes indicate that the suggested MaOTLBO gives improved individual output and compromised solutions than MOEA/D-DRA and NSGA-III algorithms.

This study seeks to examine the various attributes that impact health and safety in construction (HSIC) across different companies, stakeholders, and nations. The objective is to identify these attributes and organize them within a framework to facilitate a clearer understanding. The research identified common characteristics that promote the adoption of HSIC, yielding advantages for governmental, private, and public entities. The United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong are considered the leading countries in terms of conducting research on HSIC attributes. There exists significant potential for enhancing the contributions of developing countries. The proposed framework acknowledges a comprehensive set of 61 attributes, which are categorized into four distinct groups: Corporate regulatory, Employee's self-supportive, Workplace regulatory, and Federal regulatory attributes. These attributes function as a framework for clients and policymakers to enhance the quality of HSIC. In forthcoming periods, it is recommended to prioritize the utilization of empirical surveys conducted across diverse locations in order to ascertain the attributes that are deemed of utmost importance and necessitate significant attention.

A series of new compounds, Substituted 2-((2H-benzo[d][1,2,3]triazol-2-yl)thio)-N'-(2-oxoindolin-3-ylidene)acetohydrazide (3a-3g), 2-((2H-benzo[d][1,2,3]triazol-2-yl)thio)-N-(2,4'-dioxospiro[indoline-3,2'-thiazolidin]-3'yl)acetamide (4a-4g), and 2'-(((2H-benzo[d][1,2,3]triazol-2-yl)thio)methyl)spiro[indoline-3,5'-thiazolo[4,3-b][1,3,4]oxadiazol]-2-one (5a-5g), were synthesized and checked for their anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antibacterial activities. Compound 5d proved to be the most potent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agent. The analgesic activity, however, was maximum in compound 5e. The structural integrity of the synthesized compounds was ascertained using elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy (IR), and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (¹H NMR).

Consumer awareness is one where the buyer could take the right decision in purchasing all types of product. Marketers in view of earning profit, neglect the interest of the consumers and this leads to exploitation of the buyers. To investigate the current scenario, this study focused on the consumer awareness in the urban and rural area towards the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) along with the exploitation if any that existed in the market. For this purpose, 557 consumers who were using FMCG products residing in the western region of Tamilnadu were selected through cluster sampling followed by simple random sampling. To meet out the objectives, various statistical tools through SPSS 21 were applied and the result revealed that all the constructs like communication, price, labeling, promotion and unfair trade practices, if any remarkably influencing the consumer awareness. Also, labeling has a noteworthy mediating role between consumer awareness and satisfaction. But there existed a direct negative effect of consumer awareness on the satisfaction. It is suggested that marketers need to focus to fulfill all the rights of the consumers as detailed in the consumerism.

A series of 6-(Aryl)-4-[4-(2,4-dichlorophenylmethoxy)-3-methoxyphenyl]-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-indazol-3-one derivatives (3a-3i) have been synthesized by refluxing of previously synthesized Ethyl-4-(aryl)-6-[4-(2,4-Dichlorophenylmethoxy)-3-methoxyphenyl]-2-oxo-cyclohex-3-eneoates (2a-2i) with hydrazine hydrate in methanol for 7-8 hours in presence of catalytic amount of glacial acetic acid. The analytical and physical data of all the synthesized compounds (2a-2i) and (3a-3i) were observed and reported. The structures of each newly synthesized Indazole derivative have been characterized by various methods like Elemental analysis, Infrared spectroscopy, 1H-NMR and 13CMR spectroscopy and Mass spectroscopy. Furthermore, each compound was screened for its in-vitro antibacterial activity towards Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains and antifungal towards fungi Aspergillus niger (A. niger) and Candida albicans (C. albicans) with the concentration of 40 μg/ml and data was collected.

PEG-400 has been found to be an efficient recyclable catalyst/solvent system for C3- and O-alkylation of 4-hydroxycoumarin with various electronically and structurally divergent alcohols with moderate to good yield of products. For the C3-alkylation using styrenes required Zn(OAc)2.2H2O (5 mol%) in PEG-400 at 70 °C. For the O-alkylation of 4-hydroxycoumarin with acetates required PEG-400 at 60 °C. This process offered a gentle and uncomplicated way to obtain multi-substituted pyranocoumarins, as well. This protocol's benefits include its wide use, moderate environment, low cost, reusable catalyst (PEG-400), and ease of usage due to the only byproducts being acetic acid and water, respectively.

Pyrazoles are highly versatile and find applications in various industries including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, polymers, medications, and agriculture. Pyrazoles and their analogues exhibit a range of biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, anti-tuberculosis, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-cancer, and anti-diabetic effects. In this context, this investigation focuses on the synthesis of pyrazoles containing heterocyclic components using Amberlite resin in reactions with ultrasonic irradiation. Synthesized pyrazoles containing heterocyclic components are intermediates of the apixaban API. Some pyrazole derivatives are key impurities of the apixaban API, which is synthesized by a multistep chemical conversion and has been reported previously. The use of the heterogeneous Amberlyst resin, which acts as a reusable catalyst and is gentle on reactions, allows for a more sustainable solution that reduces costs, accelerates reactions, and shortens reaction times. The procedures for using Amberlyst resin under ultrasonic irradiation to synthesize pyrazole derivatives are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly for chemical synthesis and material preparation. They also simplify workups and produce quality and yields comparable to or better than existing methods.

The current work involves the synthesis of amalgamated heterocyclic scaffolds embracing pyrazolone and triazole nuclei. The suggested methodology leads to streaming in the targeted synthesis in a multicomponent reaction manner resulting in 91% yield of the structural motifs. This strategy makes use of the click reaction mechanism of copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne (CuAAC) cycloaddition. The structures of all the synthesized compounds were ascertained considering spectro-analytical data from 1H NMR, ¹³C NMR, and FTIR and Mass studies. Subsequently, molecular docking studies were performed taking into account the P. gingivalis as the heme binding targeted protein.

Transhipment is an important logistics strategy that helps to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce transportation costs. It enables cargo to be transported to multiple destinations using different modes of transportation, such as ships, trains, trucks, and planes. This can help to reduce the overall transportation time and cost, as well as improve inventory management and distribution. In addition to its use in logistics and transportation, transhipment can also be used in other industries such as manufacturing, where it can be used to transfer raw materials or finished products between different facilities or production lines. This research paper examines the role of transhipment in improving the efficiency of spare part delivery systems to the PMPML depots from central workshop Swargate. PMPML has 12 depots in total (including central workshop). In many industries, the supply chain for spare parts is complex, with multiple suppliers, warehouses, and service centres involved. Transhipment, or the transfer of inventory between locations, can help to reduce lead times and improve inventory availability. In this paper, we analyze the impact of transhipment on key performance metrics such as order fulfilment, inventory turnover, and transportation costs. We also discuss the challenges associated with implementing transhipment in spare part delivery systems, including coordination between different parties, data sharing, and system integration.
