Keywords: Reliability, Security, Website design, User attitude, E-project management

Abstract:
This paper explored how social media characteristics affected users’ attitudes toward the utilization of Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) e-project management located in Jordan. Data were collected through online survey, involving 456 GAM e users, and analyzed using partial least squares-structural equation modelling. Results showed user attitudes and social media characteristics (reliability, security and website design) as direct significant antecedents of GAM e-project management usage. Furthermore, three direct significant relationships were shown between social media characteristics and GAM e-project management usage. Results also demonstrated three direct significant relationships between social media characteristics and users’ attitudes. Next, results showed one direct significant relationship between users’ attitudes and GAM e-project management usage. Three indirect significant relationships between social media characteristics and GAM e-project management usage were detected via mediation of users’ attitudes. This study recommended (among others) paying attention to other social media characteristics that have impact on GAM e-project management usage, namely, responsiveness, privacy, and site content.

Results showed reliability, security, website design, ease of use, awareness, and digital divide as direct significant antecedents of user attitude toward the use of e-services from the Department of Lands and Survey. Also, all antecedents showed direct significant relationships with user attitude. Results showed a direct significant relationship between user attitude and the use of e-services from the Department of Lands and Survey. Through mediation of user attitude, five indirect significant relationships between the antecedents and the use of e-services from the Department of Lands and Survey were found. The inclusion of new antecedents such as privacy and site content may enhance the understanding of how users use e-services provided by the Department of Lands and Survey.

Authors: Waseem Ul-Hameed, Muhammad Salman Shabbir, Muhammad Imran, Ali Raza, Rabia Salman

DOI: 10.5267/j.uscm.2018.6.002

Keywords: e-logistics, Staff service quality, Website design, E-traceability, Firm’s IT capability, Information communication technology (ICT)

Abstract:
E-commerce market of Pakistan is instable which causes low performance of e-logistic industry. Thus, logistic industry of Pakistan is lacking as compared to other developing countries such as China, India, and Malaysia. Low performance is majorly based on low staff service quality, inappropriate website design and goods traceability system. As remedies of these issues, the current study introduced firm’s IT capability and information communication technology (ICT). The primary objective of this study is to investigate the determinants of e-logistic firm’s performance in Pakistan. To achieve this objective, quantitative research approach along with cross-sectional research design was used. By using the survey method, 300 questionnaires were distributed among the managerial staff of e-logistic companies. Smart PLS 3 was used as a statistical tool. It is found that staff service quality, website design and e-traceability had significant and positive relationships with firm’s e-logistic performance. Moreover, firm’s IT capability as a moderator enhanced the positive effect of staff service quality, website design and e-traceability. Nevertheless, information communication technology (ICT) positively mediated the relationship between e-traceability and firm’s e-logistic performance. Hence, firm’s IT capability and information communication technology (ICT) are the key elements to decrease various issues of staff service quality, website design and e-traceability. The study is much significant for practitioners and e-logistic companies to enhance performance by focusing on firm’s IT capability and information communication technology (ICT).

Authors: Jassim Ahmad Al-Gasawneh, Abdullah Matar Al-Adamat, Marzouq Ayed Al-Qeed, Nawras M. Nusairat, Alaeddin Ahmed, Abdul Hafaz Ngah, Mahfuz Judeh

DOI: 10.5267/j.ijdns.2021.7.005

Keywords: Digital Coupon Sales Promotion, Online Reviews, Website Design, Online Shopping Intention, Consumers in Jordan

Abstract:
Although there have been unprecedented advances in technology worldwide, it is challenging for businesses and marketers to develop novel strategies of attracting consumers because the latter’s online shopping intentions have not changed according to the technological advances. Given these considerations, the present paper investigated how online shopping intention was influenced by website design and online reviews, how the relationship between website design and online shopping intention was moderated by online reviews, and how the relationship between online reviews and online shopping intention was moderated by digital coupon sales promotion. To that end, the paper drew on the theoretical framework of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. A sample of consumers from Jordan was used for data collection, with Smart Partial Least Squares being employed for the analysis of the 225 responses received. Based on the findings, online shopping intention was favorably influenced by website design and by online reviews, while the relationship between website design and online shopping intention was moderated by online reviews. Likewise, the relationship between online reviews and online shopping intention was moderated by digital coupon sales promotion. Digital marketing agencies can use such findings to develop a marketing strategy targeting young adult consumers in Jordan.
