Keywords: Economy, Services, Use of services

Abstract:
Vietnam is a rapidly developing country associated with changes in socio-economic activities, especially both public and private services. The service industry is making a practical contribution to economic growth and is gaining a great position. To help a society develop harmoniously, the economy must satisfy people's ability to access services, especially basic services such as education, healthcare, legality, transportation, security and safety. The aims of the study are to estimate factors affecting legal service quality, and based on the survey in three provinces in Vietnam: Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and through quantitative analysis, the research results show that there are five factors that positively affect service quality, which are: (1) government; (2) head of the unit; (3) influencer; (4) opinions of people around; and (5) organizations and individuals providing services. The research results also discuss some solutions to increase service quality and sustainable development of Vietnam in the coming time.

Keywords: COVID-19, Economy, Business Interruptions, Serbia, Kuwait

Abstract:
The pandemic of the coronavirus known as ‘COVID-19’ has spread rapidly across the globe, resulting in a worldwide economic recession. Although global efforts are in place to combat the virus, it continues to spread on a massive scale. This is not just a medical crisis; rather, it is a business crisis as well. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to develop a research scale that could be used to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on business. We adopted a scale variables approach that is generated from topics covered in the papers of leading academic business journals to form the basis of our analysis. We exposed the scale to qualitative and quantitative testing and concluded that it is reliable for research on the negative effects of COVID-19 on enterprises. The scale was used to investigate the impact of the COVID-19 on businesses in two countries, namely Serbia and Kuwait, to represent two different continents. The results of this research indicate that the influence of this coronavirus is equally devastating in both countries, Kuwait with its otherwise good economic conditions and Serbia with relatively poor ones. The findings of the research are beneficial for both academics in producing quality output papers, as well as their support to managers in various business industries in their fight against coronavirus to keep their businesses sustainable.

Keywords: Digital economy, Development, Economy, State, Clustering

Abstract:
Transition to the digital economy determines the readiness of the national economy complex for the emergence of new industries, forms of economic cooperation, and general development of the regional economy on the whole, both for a separate region and for the entire country. Authors determine the possibility of application of digital transformations in regional devel-opment. This is due to the fact that the Republic of Kazakhstan is a country with widely dif-ferentiated regional development. This means that regional development should be proceed not only from the application of digital technology directly within the regional economy, but also from the introduction of digital technology in certain sectors of the industrial complex. The novelty of the study lies in the determination of the possibility of implementing digital technology as an integral part of the economy and the possibility of clustering individual industries on the basis of digital platforms and communication technology. The authors provide mathematical justification of the integration model for digital complexes within various economy sectors of individual regions. Authors propose using the developed mechanism for structuring the current situation of regional economic development. The practical significance of the study is determined upon designing regional developmen

Examining the factors influencing platform economy development Pages 557-566 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Sultan Alateeg

doi 10.5267/j.ijdns.2026.2.003 Crossmark

Keywords: Platform economy, Digitalization, Quality, Economy, Digital skills

Abstract:
This study examines the factors that influence platform economy development. A quantitative study was employed to assess the relationship between study constructs. Data were collected from 266 platform workers in Saudi Arabia. Structural equation modeling was used to perform statistical analysis to examine the relationships between study constructs. The results reveal that digital infrastructure, economic conditions, regulatory environment, digital skills, and platform service quality have a significant influence on platform economy development. Most importantly, digital skills play a major role to engage more workers on digital platforms to render services and earn more. Nonetheless, digital infrastructure and the regulatory environment also support building the confidence of workers while working on these platforms. Thus, the influencing factors explain 85 percent of the variance in platform development economy, which is above the satisfactory level. This indicates that a better infrastructure and skill set of workers play a major in contributing towards the platform economy. Thus, it is important for regulators to design better policies for platform operators and to open avenues for agencies that could play a major role in digital economic growth.

Authors: Kuksa Ihor, Vasyurenko Larysa, Litvinov Anatoly, Lytvynova Olena, Shtuler Iryna, Zos-Kior Мykola, Naholiuk Olena

doi 10.5267/j.ac.2020.8.006 Crossmark

Keywords: production cost, Multinational companies, Accounting; Management, Profitability, Industry, Economy

Abstract:
In connection with the global financial and economic crisis, the leading countries have made adjustments to the economic strategies and policies to stabilize the post-crisis economy. The goal of transnationalization is, on the one hand, to reduce quickly the technological gap between domestic producers and their Western competitors, and on the other hand, to win more dynamic demand at lower costs. Ownership structure and market positioning have become two factors that determine the strategic motivation of Transnational corporations (TNCs) and the ways of their expansion. The aim of the study is to analytically generalize the globalization trends of TNCs in the field of production, taking into account industry definitions and point determination of factors influencing the effectiveness of its adaptation in industry. The profiles of adaptation of transnationalization in the sphere of production of Germany, France and the Netherlands were singled out in separate analytical sets, which allowed to reveal heterogeneity of economic practices and branch changes in the sphere of production and to determine the degree of influence of array of variables (factors): Production value and Gross operating surplus profitability of multinational companies, in the sectoral context (domestic production, ISIC Rev 4, 21 industry), as a “basket” of reserve instruments to increase the profitability of production in TNCs.
