Access to water resources is one of the demanding issues of the 21st century worldwide. As worldwide population increases, the demand for water is seriously increased. With the increasing demand, water quality is also under growing stress which requires better supply chain management (SCM) by adopting strategic management practices. Therefore, the objective of this study is to examine the role of supply chain strategic management in customer satisfaction and the performance of the water supply company in Makassar, Indonesia. In this study, service quality and drinking water quality were taken as the strategic management activities. Employees of water supply companies were selected to collect the necessary data. Questionnaires survey was used to collect the necessary data from employees. Three hundred (300) questionnaires were distributed among the employees of water supply companies of Makassar, Indonesia. It was found that strategic management practices were vital to enhance water supply chain. Moreover, it was concluded that water supply companies of Makassar needed better supply chain activities to boost performance. Better supply chain implementation was the key to customer satisfaction and the performance of the company.

Corporate governance has emerged as a sine-qua of corporate success. The stakeholder theory of corporate governance consists of various factors, other than the economy and finance and considers corporate governance as an important determinant of the supply chain performance and the supplier relationship. Following the stakeholder theory, the current study studies the impact of the corporate governance, and supplier diversification network on the firm supply performance. In addition, the current study investigates the moderating role of supplier diversification in the relationship between three corporate governance characteristics; namely board size, board independence, and board competency and firm supply performance. The study is carried out on a sample of the industrial firm in Indonesia. To achieve the research objectives PLS-SEM technique is employed. The findings of the study provide a great deal of agreement with the proposed hypotheses. The findings of the current study are helpful for the policymakers, researchers and practitioner in examining and understanding the link between corporate governance, supplier network and firm supply performance.

During the past few years, there has been a declining trend on the performance of Indonesian supply chain companies. The performance of the Indonesian supply chain companies is relatively low compared with other countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. To address this issue, the primary objective of this study is to examine the role of computerized accounting system (CAS) in supply chain accuracy. A survey was conducted to collect the necessary data from the managerial staff of supply chain companies in Indonesia. PLS-SEM was implemented to analyze the data. The results indicate that CAS had a significant positive relationship with supply chain accuracy. Computerized accounting system supports supply chain operations, which increases the accuracy of the supply chain system. Computerized accounting system also provides the ease of use and usefulness, which enhances the supply chain activities and decreases various issues. Therefore, the computerized accounting system is the key to gain accuracy in the supply chain.

The purpose of this paper is to explore the link between supply chain capability and supply chain operational performance. In addition, the current study investigates the mediating role of technology integration and logistic integration between supply chain capability and supply chain operational performance. The firms in Tin industry of Indonesia are chosen as the sample of the study. To achieve the objectives of the current study, structural equation modeling is used using smart PLS. Data is collected through mail and telephonic survey. The responses are collected through the postal and electronic mail, questionnaire survey. According to the direct results, it is shown that all hypotheses were meaningful (α = 5%). The mediation effect of technology integration and logistic integration in the relationship between Supply Chain Capability and Supply Chain Operational Performance (SCOP) was examined. The results of mediation show that for logistic integration mediation hypothesis, the results was meaningful (α = 5%), whereas for the technology integration the results was not significant. The results of the study are useful for policymakers, practitioners, operation managers in understanding the link between human resource management and operational management.

In-plane strength and constitutive properties of composite materials is known as crucial problems. Although, several studies have been made for obtaining the in-plane mode II properties, the common test fixtures are blind in confrontation of shear zone. Furthermore, toughening mechanisms and consequently mode II fracture toughness cannot be evaluated, precisely. Also, proposing the convenient configuration of shear test fixture increase the accuracy of evaluation for the shear-zone energy dissipation, especially in orthotropic materials. Hence in the present research, a novel shear fixture configuration is proposed based on Iosipesque structural modification. Hereof, some arbitrary composite materials (e.g. graphite/epoxy and wood) were studies on the basis of DOE and E-691 ASTM. Furthermore, as the numerical method for indicating the comparison of the uniform and non-uniform shear stress distribution in the modified and common shear test fixture, a statistical procedure is used based on ASTM standard in addition to FEM analysis. The obtained results reveal that applying major amendments through the new scheme of the shear test fixture, would provide a remarkable precision and a reasonable estimation of the shear strength in comparison with the previous Iosipesque experiments.

In this study, the effects of alkaline accelerating admixture and its dosage on cementitious material’s behavior at early ages were evaluated through a series of ultrasound Pulse echo measurements. Thus, those measurements consist on following the evolution of frequency dependent attenuation coefficient during cementitious material age. Four stages can be identified on the attenuation coefficient vs. mortar age graphs, indicating that the development of the attenuation parameter is closely related to the setting and the hardening phenomena. Also, the ultrasound histograms, representing the evolution of the different echoes backscattered by the media of the container, filled with cementitious material’s samples, were characterized in order to assess the attenuative effect of alkaline accelerator and its dosage during the setting and the hardening period. Thus, the combined use of ultrasound P-wave measured density and young modulus parameters results in a comprehensive ultrasound method that gives a more effective picture of the void volume and resistivity of the accelerated cementitious materials. Ultrasound P-waves were generated using a 1 MHz central frequency immersion transducer and mortar samples were prepared with Portland composite cement CPJ 45.

This work investigated and predicted the fatigue life durability of Austenitic Stainless Steel 316L due to its importance in plant industries worldwide. Modelling and simulations were performed to clarify the fracture as well as stress distribution using integrated mechanism. Experimental fatigue validations were also carried out to demonstrate the effect of various fatigue life parameters. Various loading conditions with variable load amplitudes were validated utilizing a frequency of 5 Hz and a stress ratio of 0.1. The accuracy of the simulation results were also verified based on the experimental data. High consistencies between the predicted fatigue life and the experimental results were achieved which increases the validity of the built model.

Turning the attention towards a net performance of the Indonesian oil and gas industry is important. Inconsistent performance of the oil and gas industry has shown the negative consequence for the nation’s economy. However, up to some extent, the issues can be resolved through green supply chain integration. Therefore, the ultimate purpose of this study is to investigate the role of green supply chain integration on the sustainable performance of the oil and gas industry of Indonesia. To collect the data, a survey questionnaire was used, and questionnaires were distributed among the employees of oil and gas companies in Indonesia. From total three hundred (300) distributed questionnaires, two hundred and one (201) were returned and used to analyze the data through Smart PLS 3. Findings reveal that green supply chain activities had a positive contribution in sustainable performance among oil and gas companies. Supplier integration, customer integration and technological integration had a substantial impact on economic sustainable performance and environmentally sustainable performance. Thus, the Indonesian oil and gas companies are recommended to use green supply chain activities to enhance performance.

The development of techniques that allow producing high-finish surfaces of geometrically-complex parts of difficult-to-machine materials by electrical discharge machining (EDM) is an emerging research area. The aim of this work is to study the application of electrolytic-plasma polishing technique for the high-quality surface finish of the parts obtained by EDM process. The structural alloy steel 38KH2N2MA (GOST 4543 – 71) was selected as the processing material. The morphology of the machined surface was examined using optical micrographs. It was observed that applying the electrolytic plasma polishing for the duration of 5 minutes results in reducing the surface roughness of the ED machined surface by a factor of 5. It is also concluded that the combined action of EDM with electrolytic plasma polishing method is suitable for attaining the desired surface finish.

The aim of the current study is to examine the role of competitive advantage and commodity strategic supply chain in the textile industry of Indonesia. Additionally, the mediating role of export performance was examined to expedite textile industry performance. The moderating role of supply chain top management team support was also investigated. To achieve the objectives, primary data were collected with the help of a questionnaire. Employees of textile companies were selected as the respondents and PLS-SEM was used in this study. Moreover, the preliminary analysis was performed through SPSS. Ten hypotheses were developed to examine the relationships among competitive advantage, commodity strategic supply chain, export performance, supply chain top management team support and textile industry performance. Findings of the study indicate that competitive advantage and commodity strategic supply chain played a valuable role to enhance textile industry performance. Export performance is a mediating variable between competitive advantage and textile industry performance, moreover, it is also a mediating variable between commodity strategic supply chain and textile industry performance. Likewise, supply chain top management team support as a moderating variable enhances the positive impact of competitive advantage on textile industry performance.
