This research aims at exploring barriers of adopting Industry 4.0 in manufacturing supply chains. Data were collected based on a review of extant literature on barriers Industry 4.0 adoption, individual interviews with a panel consisted of academic and industry experts. Following numerous previous studies, interpretive structural modeling (ISM) and matrix multiplication applied to classification (MICMAC) analysis were conducted to order 10 barriers based on their importance and impacts. The results excluded one barrier “cyber security challenges”, categorized another one as a dependent barrier “lack of digital strategy”, and eight barriers as linkage barriers “lack of infrastructure”, “personnel resistance to adopt new technologies”, “high investment requirements”, “data management and quality challenges”, “uncertainty of economic benefits”, “low maturity level of technology”, “lack of adequate skills”, and “job disruptions”. Henceforward, it was concluded that mitigating these eight barriers is very critical to ensure a successful adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in supply chains. Further studies are required to categorize these eight barriers based on their importance and relationships.

The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between the managerial-operational capability of digital business strategy and innovation performance on the setting of entrepreneurial small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This article is valuable to extend the comprehension and knowledge of SME’s entrepreneurship to obtain innovation performance through digital business strategies and these efforts are encouraged by effectuation decision-making logic. This survey targets the manufacturing of small and medium-scale food and beverage SMEs in Indonesia. A total of 52 SME entrepreneurs were selected as the respondent in this research. The data obtained from the collecting of the online questionnaires were analyzed using Moderating Regression Analysis with SPSS for data analysis. The successful entrepreneurial SMEs enhance their innovation performance by improving managerial-operational capability. Effectuation decision-making logic contributes more to strengthening the relationship between managerial capability with innovation performance than operational capability with innovation performance.

This research aims to know and analyze the direct and indirect impacts of service quality and ticket price policy on trust and also its impact on the passenger loyalty of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train, Cengkareng, Indonesia. The main problems are that the service quality provided by Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train is not maximal and that the ticket price of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train is relatively expensive because the passengers still have to use another transportation mode to go to the station. This research uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modelling, assisted by the Lisrel program with a sample of as many as 150 passengers. The results of this research prove that service quality and ticket price policy have both direct and indirect impacts on passenger loyalty through the mediation of passenger trust. The key finding is that the policymakers can take advantage of the findings of this research, especially the crucial aspects in the questionnaires on service quality and ticket price policy which are considered not optimal by the passengers of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train. So, passenger loyalty can be enhanced through the improvement of service quality and ticket price policy supported by passenger trust.

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the mediating role of job stress in the relationship between organizational change and job satisfaction in telecommunication companies in Jordan. The research population is employees working at three communication companies in Jordan; as a convenience sample of 422 was chosen randomly. Descriptive analysis was used to provide general information on the employees of telecommunication companies. Furthermore, validity and reliability tests were used, and regression analysis was applied for the possibility of hypotheses rejection. The findings indicate a significant positive relationship between organizational change and job satisfaction, as well as a significant positive relationship between organizational change and job stress. Additionally, the results indicate a significant negative relationship between job stress and job satisfaction. The findings also revealed a partial mediating effect of job stress on the relationship between organizational change and job satisfaction. According to the findings of this research, to increase employees’ job satisfaction, their level of job stress during organization change operations in telecommunication companies must be decreased. For future research, the present study recommends the investigation of the impact of organizational change on job satisfaction, along with the mediating role of job stress, using different dimensions and sectors.

This research aims to account for the cost of quality through lean and agile operations strategies with empirical evidence from the Aviation industry in the UAE. The cost of quality improvement through lean and agile strategies was not researched enough in the aviation industry. This research will contribute with great knowledge in the aviation industry. The research design used a descriptive, explanatory, causal, and analytical method. A cluster sampling technique was used with a valid sample size of 251 respondents for analysis by multiple regression using ANOVA. Results indicated the significant relationship between lean and agile operations strategies on the cost of quality. There is a direct positive significant relationship between the cost of quality and SC strategies to get quality products cost-effectively. This research was limited to the lean and agile strategies and cost of quality analysis in the aviation industry in one city in the UAE. In contrast, it requires detailed research to explore other cities and assess the aviation industry's challenges while implementing lean and agile strategies. Cost elimination with high-quality production is fundamental for a successful business; lean and agile operations can reduce airline companies' costs and propose the criteria to adopt the strategic implementation efficiently.

The study aimed to identify the impact of supply chain integration through strategic performance and the mediating role of strategic vigilance in industrial companies. The Jordanian population is large and medium-sized, and the study population consists of medium and large-sized industrial companies. For hypothesis testing purposes the study and its model validity, Modeling Equation Structural Analysis (SEM) was used through the AMOS16 program. The study indicates that supply chain integration (strategic integration, internal integration, external integration) has an impact on strategic performance and response. The supply chain, as the results of the study indicated, shows that the response of the supply chain affects strategic performance. The study also found that the response of the supply chain mediates the impact of strategic vigilance on strategic performance. The study recommended working to raise the level of trust and honesty, commitment and attention to the interest of each party to the supply chain to maintain a good level of external integration of the supply chain and work to improve the level of supply chain response to markets and any changes that may occur in the market through corporate restructuring and streamlining working procedures.

This paper examines the effect of macroeconomics and supply chain finance (SCF) on the profitability of the manufacturing companies, specifically in Indonesia from 2017 to 2021. Furthermore, the study demonstrates the critical role of macroeconomics and SCF in profitability through the use of general moment method (GMM). The results indicate that cash conversion cycle (CCC) is detrimental to profitability (P), while macroeconomics has a positive impact on it. In addition, strong profitability is negatively and positively correlated with the leverage (LEV) and sustainable supply chain management (MRPB) control variables, respectively.

The importance of entrepreneurial competencies and information technology capabilities has increased in the last few decades because of the strategic role played by the entrepreneurs. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of entrepreneur competency and information technology capability on business success. A survey questionnaire was conducted to test the influence of entrepreneur competency and information technology capability. This questionnaire was filled by 403 participants who were recruited through Jordan Chamber of Commerce so as to identify the business owners who had started their companies in the recent years. The findings of the study showed that entrepreneurial competencies have a positive effect on business success and information technology which was used as a mediating role has a positive impact on both entrepreneurial competencies and business success. The findings of this research will be helpful to entrepreneurs and policy makers.

The study aimed to demonstrate the impact of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) with its dimensions (Green IT, Green Manufacturing and Packaging, Green Storing, Green Purchasing, Green Marketing) on the quality of services in renewable energy companies in Jordan. In addition, the study also aimed to measure the impact of intellectual capital on the impact of GSCM on the quality of services in renewable energy companies in Jordan. By adopting the survey/sampling method, data was collected from the study population of (482) companies, and the study sample consisted of (260) managers of renewable energy companies in Jordan using a questionnaire. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: the existence of an impact of green supply chain management on the quality of services in renewable energy companies, that intellectual capital has modified and enhanced the effect, and that renewable energy companies in Jordan seek to use environmentally friendly inputs in their production at a very high rate, several recommendations emerged from these results, most notably: that companies constantly review the production processes followed by suppliers to ensure their compliance with environmental specifications.

Globalization has made exports an important activity for several companies including the growing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This is observed in the wood craft SMEs which is one of the main pillars supporting the Balinese economy when the tourism sector experienced a decline during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important to note that innovation capability is a special asset for SME to increase exports, especially when the products have value and advantages. Therefore, this study analyzed value creation through the adoption of the Service-Dominant Logic (SDL) theory which was manifested in the aesthetic-utilitarian value variable. The study population includes all the 242 woodcraft SMEs in Bali while the samples were selected using the census method and the data obtained were analyzed through the partial least squares technique. The results showed that innovation capability has a positive effect on export performance, aesthetic-utilitarian value, and positional advantage. Moreover, aesthetic-utilitarian value and positional advantage were discovered to have a positive influence on export performance and also partially mediated the relationship between innovation capability and export performance. This implies SMEs need to develop high innovation capabilities to ensure their products are superior to those of their competitors. Furthermore, the value offered also needs to be unique and in line with customer needs.
