doi 10.5267/j.uscm.2023.2.008

๐Ÿ”‘ Keywords: Renewable energy consumption, Gross fixed capital formation, Carbon dioxide emissions, Population, Economic growth, ARDL model, Augmented Dickey-Fuller test (ADF), Jordan

Abstract:
The study aimed to analyze and measure the impact of renewable energy consumption on economic growth in Jordan during the period 1990-2020 using time series analysis; the study tests the stationarity of the time series using the ARDL model. The results show a positive and significant effect of each, renewable energy consumption, gross fixed capital formation, carbon dioxide emissions, and total population, on the real gross domestic product (GDP). The study recommends the importance of government agencies adopting specialized programs in reducing emissions with stakeholders' participation. To work together to spread awareness in this field, limit the spread of these emissions, and ensure that this is a complementary condition for the sectors participating in these programs to obtain funding and provide it over other sectors.

The role of intellectual capital on green supply chain management: Evidence from the Jordanian renewal energy companies Pages 351-360 PDF Download PDF

Authors: Khalid Munther Lutfi, Zaynab Hassan Alnabulsi, Rafat Salameh Salameh, Eyad Abdel-Halym Hyasat, Salah Turki Alrawashdeh

doi 10.5267/j.uscm.2022.9.007

๐Ÿ”‘ Keywords: Green Supply Chain Management, Quality of Services, Renewable Energy, Intellectual capital, Companies, Jordan

Abstract:
The study aimed to demonstrate the impact of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) with its dimensions (Green IT, Green Manufacturing and Packaging, Green Storing, Green Purchasing, Green Marketing) on the quality of services in renewable energy companies in Jordan. In addition, the study also aimed to measure the impact of intellectual capital on the impact of GSCM on the quality of services in renewable energy companies in Jordan. By adopting the survey/sampling method, data was collected from the study population of (482) companies, and the study sample consisted of (260) managers of renewable energy companies in Jordan using a questionnaire. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: the existence of an impact of green supply chain management on the quality of services in renewable energy companies, that intellectual capital has modified and enhanced the effect, and that renewable energy companies in Jordan seek to use environmentally friendly inputs in their production at a very high rate, several recommendations emerged from these results, most notably: that companies constantly review the production processes followed by suppliers to ensure their compliance with environmental specifications.

The effect of digital supply chain on lean manufacturing: A structural equation modelling approach Pages 391-402 PDF Download PDF

Authors: Adeeb Ahmed AL Rahamneh, Salah Turki Alrawashdeh, Ahmad Ali Bawaneh, Zakarya Alatyat, Ayat Mohammad, Anber Abraheem Shlash Mohammad, Sulieman Ibraheem Shelash Al-Hawary

doi 10.5267/j.uscm.2022.9.003

๐Ÿ”‘ Keywords: Digital Supply Chain, Lean Manufacturing, Electronic Industries, Jordanian commercial banks

Abstract:
This study aimed to test the impact of digital supply chains on lean manufacturing, the digital supply chain was a multidimensional measurement composed of seven dimensions: Digital performance management, digital information technology and digital manufacturing, digital human resources, digital suppliers, digital logistics and inventory and digital clients. The electronic industries companies were targeted to represent the research population and collect the primary necessary data. According to the research budget and time constraints, a convenience sampling method was implemented in the data collection process. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to test the research hypotheses through AMOS software. The results indicated that most of the digital supply chain dimensions had a positive impact on lean manufacturing, except digital suppliers and digital clients, which had no effect on lean manufacturing. Findings from this research help organizational managers make multiple decisions related to investing and allocating resources to increase profit and reduce expenses along digital supply chains.
