Keywords: Renewable energy consumption, Gross fixed capital formation, Carbon dioxide emissions, Population, Economic growth, ARDL model, Augmented Dickey-Fuller test (ADF), Jordan

Abstract:
The study aimed to analyze and measure the impact of renewable energy consumption on economic growth in Jordan during the period 1990-2020 using time series analysis; the study tests the stationarity of the time series using the ARDL model. The results show a positive and significant effect of each, renewable energy consumption, gross fixed capital formation, carbon dioxide emissions, and total population, on the real gross domestic product (GDP). The study recommends the importance of government agencies adopting specialized programs in reducing emissions with stakeholders' participation. To work together to spread awareness in this field, limit the spread of these emissions, and ensure that this is a complementary condition for the sectors participating in these programs to obtain funding and provide it over other sectors.

The role of intellectual capital on green supply chain management: Evidence from the Jordanian renewal energy companies Pages 351-360 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Khalid Munther Lutfi, Zaynab Hassan Alnabulsi, Rafat Salameh Salameh, Eyad Abdel-Halym Hyasat, Salah Turki Alrawashdeh

DOI: 10.5267/j.uscm.2022.9.007

Keywords: Green Supply Chain Management, Quality of Services, Renewable Energy, Intellectual capital, Companies, Jordan

Abstract:
The study aimed to demonstrate the impact of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) with its dimensions (Green IT, Green Manufacturing and Packaging, Green Storing, Green Purchasing, Green Marketing) on the quality of services in renewable energy companies in Jordan. In addition, the study also aimed to measure the impact of intellectual capital on the impact of GSCM on the quality of services in renewable energy companies in Jordan. By adopting the survey/sampling method, data was collected from the study population of (482) companies, and the study sample consisted of (260) managers of renewable energy companies in Jordan using a questionnaire. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: the existence of an impact of green supply chain management on the quality of services in renewable energy companies, that intellectual capital has modified and enhanced the effect, and that renewable energy companies in Jordan seek to use environmentally friendly inputs in their production at a very high rate, several recommendations emerged from these results, most notably: that companies constantly review the production processes followed by suppliers to ensure their compliance with environmental specifications.

The role of artificial intelligence on limiting Jordanian commercial banks cybercrimes Pages 1147-1156 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Rafat Salameh Salameh, Khalid Munther Lutfi

DOI: 10.5267/j.ac.2021.2.024

Keywords: Artificial intelligence, Jordanian commercial banks, Cybercrime, IT Department, Internal Auditors

Abstract:
This study aims to investigate the role of applying artificial intelligence in limiting cybercrime in the 13 Jordanian commercial banks listed in the Amman Financial Market, from the point of view of internal auditors and IT. For this purpose, a questionnaire was designed and distributed to the study sample of (849). The number of respondents to the questionnaire reached (230). The data of the questionnaire were analyzed, and their hypotheses were tested using the statistical program (SPSS) through tests of the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, linear, multiple regression, and the T-test for two independent samples. The study found a statistically significant effect for artificial intelligence with its dimensions (Expert Systems, Artificial Neural Network, Genetic Algorithm, Fuzzy logic) in limiting cybercrime in Jordanian commercial banks. It was also found that there were statistically significant differences in both genetic algorithm and cybercrime attributable to the job variable in favor of IT department employees.
