This research is aimed at analyzing perception and identifying determinants of the decision to convert to organic mango farming in Mekong Delta (MD) Vietnam. The research was conducted by using a direct survey data set from 109 household heads in this region collected by stratified random sampling method. The research method used was descriptive statistics and the binary Logit model. The research results revealed some interesting points. In the total observations gathered, only about half of households decided to convert, mainly due to local implementation and awareness of safety for consumers and environmental protection. Still, the most important reason for farmers to convert was to get a higher selling price. The binary Logit model analyzing the determinants found that the older the farmer, the more difficult it is to decide to convert. At the same time, training and enhancing awareness about organic farming will increase the probability of conversion decisions. Based on the research results, several relevant solutions on investment, production linkage, and propaganda to raise people's awareness were recommended, thereby increasing the probability of deciding to convert.

Annual increases in power use need improved energy management. Several universities and research organizations have focused on pursuing energy efficiency and renewable energy to satisfy this stipulation. This study provides a thorough and organized systematic review of over 2000 operational research studies conducted between 2019 and 2023. In summary, this study explores potential innovations to enhance existing literature utilizing mathematical tools in energy management. Our systematic literature review indicates that geometric planning is a novel mathematical technique in energy management. Based on the specific problems, this paper discusses geometric planning and proposes its integration with other mathematical techniques.

This study seeks to examine the various attributes that impact health and safety in construction (HSIC) across different companies, stakeholders, and nations. The objective is to identify these attributes and organize them within a framework to facilitate a clearer understanding. The research identified common characteristics that promote the adoption of HSIC, yielding advantages for governmental, private, and public entities. The United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong are considered the leading countries in terms of conducting research on HSIC attributes. There exists significant potential for enhancing the contributions of developing countries. The proposed framework acknowledges a comprehensive set of 61 attributes, which are categorized into four distinct groups: Corporate regulatory, Employee's self-supportive, Workplace regulatory, and Federal regulatory attributes. These attributes function as a framework for clients and policymakers to enhance the quality of HSIC. In forthcoming periods, it is recommended to prioritize the utilization of empirical surveys conducted across diverse locations in order to ascertain the attributes that are deemed of utmost importance and necessitate significant attention.

This paper considers a sales mode selection problem under revenue sharing contracts between resale and agency modes for risk-averse manufacturers with traditional retail channel, direct selling channel, and e-commerce platform channel. By considering the factors including price competition intensity, market share, revenue sharing ratio, commission rate, and degree of risk aversion, we construct leader-follower game models with manufacturers as leaders and traditional retailers and e-commerce platforms as followers. To obtain optimal solutions, we discuss conditions to ensure the upper and lower models to be convex and then give the optimal strategies for all members in the network. Through numerical experiments, we analyze the involved parameters’ impact on sales mode selection strategy and the changing trends of each member's optimal pricing and profit under different sales modes. The numerical results reveal the following revelations: The manufacturer should choose the agency mode when the commission rate is low and the direct selling channel has a large market share. If both the commission rate and degree of risk aversion are high, direct selling channels have a low market share, and price competition intensity is weak, the manufacturer should choose the resale mode. The degree of risk aversion has an effect on each member’s optimal decision. Regardless of which sales mode the manufacturer chooses, the optimal price of each member decreases as the degree of risk aversion increases. Under certain conditions, the manufacturer’s choice of agency mode can create win-win situations with supply chain members.

This study aims to develop an innovation network model to help MSMEs recover from the downturn due to the pandemic. The basic model used is an innovation network consisting of associations, suppliers, customers and government. The basic model was developed by adding capital and digitalization variables to suit the needs. Data processing uses a structural equation model and the sample is MSMEs in West Java province. This study is the first on the innovation network model for MSMEs affected by the pandemic and the largest number of MSME respondents. The results conclude that according to MSMEs in Indonesia, suppliers, customers, government, associations, capital, and digitalization have an effect on the innovation network. This study concludes that associations, suppliers, customers, government, capital and digitalization all have a positive effect on the innovation network. This finding is the first in the innovation network model for MSMEs that accommodates the needs of the industry to recover from the pandemic situation and adds new literature on industrial innovation networks. While previous studies have a lot of similar literature, all focus on certain types of businesses and on normal economic conditions. This study is different from similar studies because it was conducted on MSMEs in all business sectors and economic conditions in crisis due to the pandemic. These results can be used as a reference in decision making to increase the growth of MSMEs with limited resources.

This study employs Molecular Electron Density Theory (MEDT) to explore the [3+2] cycloaddition mechanisms involving 1-methyl-4-(prop-1-en-2-yl)cyclohex-1-ene (2-R) and nitrile oxide (3-R). Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations using the B3LYP/6-311(d,p) method were performed to determine reactivity indices, activation energies, and reaction energies. The conceptual DFT analysis indicates that 1-methyl-4-(prop-1-en-2-yl)cyclohex-1-ene 2-R acts as a nucleophile, while nitrile oxide 3-R functions as an electrophile. The reaction exhibits notable chemoselectivity and regioselectivity, supported by activation energies that align with experimental data. BET analysis suggests a one-step mechanism with asynchronous bond formation. Additionally, molecular docking studies of the reaction products against HIV-1 and COVID-19 reveal that the presence of oxygen and nitrogen atoms enhances the interaction energy with proteins, indicating potential therapeutic benefits.

This study chose Contingency Theory as a theoretical perspective to empirically investigate the role of transformational leadership, training, lecturer engagement, and compensation in improving lecturer performance. The research respondents were 166 lecturers at the College of Economics in Riau Province. The data was processed using PLS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This study proposes lecturer engagement and compensation as a strategy to improve lecturer performance. From the results, it was clear that transformational leadership and education and training affected lecturer performance, lecturer engagement played a role in mediating the effect of leadership and training on lecturer performance, and compensation moderated the effect of lecturer engagement on lecturer performance. These results reinforce the Contingency Theory which states that individual and organizational performance depends on the motivational system and the extent to which the leader has control and influence in certain situations.

The Slab Stack Shuffling Problem (SSSP) consists of retrieving slabs, stored in stacks in a warehouse, to efficiently satisfy a processing order. The problem is relevant in the steel industry as the slab yard serves as a storage buffer between the continuous casting stage and the rolling mill. Notably, the SSSP also arises in cutting/assembly centres within the shipbuilding supply chain, where already rolled slabs must undergo further production stages. The different slabs managed in these facilities confer the problem novel practical features, such as the existence of slabs' typologies and deadlines, i.e., a maximum time beyond which their quality certifications expire and are no longer usable. In such a context, the goals of the present paper are twofold: (i) providing a comprehensive taxonomy of the main aspects involved in the problem; (ii) proposing an original mathematical formulation for the SSSP. Specifically, the model is cast as a bi-objective multi-period program, seeking to minimise the number of shuffles and expired slabs. Computational tests on randomly generated instances prove the relevance of the trade-off between the above-mentioned objectives and the impact of the yard's configuration on the retrieval process, suggesting the most suitable storage strategy to adopt under different operational settings.

Given the rapid global economic development and continuous technical advancements, a key strategy for companies trying to improve their competitive edge and accomplish sustainable development is digital transformation. This study's goal was to investigate how the supply chain capabilities of Yunnan Province's fresh-cut flower business are affected by digital transformation. To collect data, the study employed a survey methodology based on a questionnaire. Ultimately, 402 flower businesses in Yunnan Province produced valid du-plicates. PLS-SEM was utilized in the study to evaluate the data, and the results showed that digital transformation greatly improved the enterprises' capacity for both innovation and supply chain management; innovation capabilities positively impacted supply chain capabilities and acted as a mediator in the relationship between supply chain capabilities and digital transformation. Furthermore, organizational readiness largely exhibits a positive moderating effect on the relationship between digital transformation and supply chain capabilities, whereas technology readiness not only fosters but also reinforces the relationship between digital transformation and innovation capabilities. These results offer an effective reference suggestion for fresh-cut flower companies in Yunnan Province and nationwide on how to enhance supply chain capabilities through digital transformation to improve their competitive advantages.

Using a regioselectivity descriptor known as Fukui indices, this theoretical study examines the reactivity of cycloaddition processes of benzamide (PhCONH2) and chlorocarbonylsulfenyl chloride (ClCOSCl) at the level of base 6-311 G (d. p) by use of the DFT approach. Therefore, the attack of the sulfur atom on nitrogen and carbon on oxygen is kinetically more preferred than the assault of the sulfur atom on oxygen and carbon on nitrogen, as we have observed from our study. The electrophilic Δω difference between chlorocarbonylsulfenyl chloride and benzamide is 1.3726 eV. This indicates that the reaction under investigation has a polar nature (Δω > 1). on oxygen and carbon on nitrogen, as we have observed from our study. We have also studied the stereoselectivity and feasibility of these reactions from a thermodynamic and orbital point of view. The transition states of this reaction have been determined.
