The importance of E-procurement is significant for the development of nations. Findings of previous studies in terms of predictors and consequences of using E-procurement are inconsistent and most prior literature were conducted in developed countries. The purpose of this study is to examine the predictors and consequences of using e-procurement. Based on resource-based view (RBV) and Technology-Organization-Environment framework (TOE), the study proposed that technological (relative advantage, compatibility, and complexity) and organizational factor (top management support, organizational readiness, and Information System (IS) committee) will have significant effect on e-procurement which in turn expected to affect the firm performance. Competitive pressure is proposed as a moderating variable between technological and organizational factors, and e-procurement. The population of the study includes large companies in Jordan. Purposive sampling was deployed to collect the data using a questionnaire. The findings were derived from 221 responses. Data analysis was conducted using Smart PLS. The findings showed that technological (relative advantage, compatibility, and complexity) and organizational (top management support and organizational readiness) have significant effect on e-procurement which in turn affected firm performance. Competitive pressure did not moderate the effect of technological and organizational factors on e-procurement. The findings help the policy makers in Jordan to increase the usage of e-procumbent and firm performance by focusing on the benefits and reducing the complexity of using a new technology.

Innovation is an important variable, and it has received less attention. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of innovation on customer satisfaction. The study also examines the business performance as a mediator between innovation and customer satisfaction. The study collected data using a questionnaire. A total of 387 responses were collected and analyzed using AMOS. The findings show that innovation positively affected customer satisfaction and business performance. Business performance affected customer satisfaction. Business performance also mediated the effect of innovation on customer satisfaction. Decision makers in the banking industry are suggested to increase the level of innovation to improve the business performance and customer satisfaction.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of customer satisfaction and customer delight on customer loyalty through customer retention. Data were collected using a questionnaire developed based on the literature and administered to a sample of restaurant customers consisting of 376 customers. Using IBM SPSS and AMOS software for data analyses, the results indicate that customer retention had a perfect mediating role in the effect of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty and a partial mediating role in the effect of customer delight on customer loyalty. The study provided several contributions. A key contribution to researchers is that the effect of customer satisfaction on other variables, particularly customer loyalty should be assessed in terms of its direct and indirect effects. A basic contribution to managers is that both satisfied and delighted customers have potential intentions to defect, hence, retaining customers is a crucial step to ensure loyalty. Delighted customers are more likely to be retained and retained customers are ready to be loyal customers.

This study develops a research framework to study the impact of green supply chains with three dimensions, namely green purchasing, green manufacturing, and green marketing to achieve competitive advantage with the existence of organizational ambidexterity as a mediating variable in Jordanian industrial companies. The study targeted the most important Jordanian industrial companies, which included 46 industrial companies out of 66 companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. The researchers personally administered 181 questionnaires, responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the appropriate statistical methods were chosen to test the hypotheses of the study and reach its results. The findings indicate that all elements of green supply chain management, namely green purchasing, green manufacturing, and green marketing had a significant impact on competitive advantage. Also, green manufacturing and green marketing had a significant effect on organizational ambidexterity, but there was no significant impact for green purchasing on organizational ambidexterity, finally, the results of the study showed that organizational ambidexterity plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between green manufacturing, green marketing, and competitive advantage.

Blockchain is a new boom for the use of the Internet and will change the way in accounting and auditing as well as management accounting (MA); Blockchain as the biggest evidence of the growing use of this technology in the accounting field, its use leads to lower costs in the long run, avoiding human errors and controlling manipulation and fraud through immediate control of information and enhancing its integrity. However, this paper aims to investigate the impact of management accounting and Blockchain technology characteristics on supply chain efficiency in Jordanian Manufacturing Companies (JMC). Besides, the descriptive approach was conducted using the survey, 258 respondents were included in the survey from JMC. The results indicated that the characteristics of Blockchain technology and MA has a positive and significant impact on the efficiency of supply chains in JMC. However, this paper contributes to identifying the characteristics of Blockchain as well as management accounting methods and their role in increasing the efficiency of supply chains; to survive and continue in different business environments.

In the backdrop of several recent accounting crises, internal auditing has emerged as a major force in supporting effective controls and risk management. Therefore, internal auditing of the supply chain management performance is one of the strongest and quickest ways to reduce operational costs and provide the company competitive advantages in the global market in times of economic crisis. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of internal audit in improving supply chain management in shipping companies, the questionnaire was used to suit the nature of this study. Also, the survey included 167 participants of these companies. The results indicated a statistically significant relationship between the internal audit (independence and objectivity of internal audit, efficiency of internal audit and internal audit quality) and supply chain management in shipping companies.

The objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of supply chain integration (SCI) on customer satisfaction in the potash supply chain in Jordan. 320 samples are collected after completing the sample checking process. The research study uses partial least squares for processing of data. Study outcomes show a connection among the integration of supply chain and customer satisfaction. In addition, the study shows that enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, business strategy, and suppliers have impacts on the integration of supply chain and customer satisfaction.

Achieving and maintaining good business performance is a core concern of every business entity. This quantitative study investigates the impact of sourcing strategies and logistics capabilities on the performance of Jordanian pharmaceutical enterprises using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The views and perceptions of 951 managers and assistant manager respondents working in Jordanian pharmaceutical companies were gathered anonymously via an electronic online questionnaire using a convenience sampling technique. The findings revealed that sourcing strategies and logistical capabilities have a significant positive impact on organizational performance in pharmaceutical companies. Insourcing, near-sourcing, few / many suppliers, joint ventures, and virtual enterprises were perceived to be effective sourcing strategies in improving organizational performance. In contrast, outsourcing, and vertical integration were perceived to have a negligible impact on the performance in the context of pharmaceuticals. Furthermore, the findings confirmed that individual logistic capabilities (safety and compliance, storage, delivery, and imports and exports) of pharmaceutical firms were perceived as impacting positively on firm performance. This research provides useful insight for decision makers in pharmaceutical companies in Jordan when reviewing their supply chain, particularly during challenging and turbulent times such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

This study aims to develop a measurement scale for Supply Chain Integration (SCI) and Firm Performance (FP) in Jordanian SMEs. The study instrument was developed based on the previous studies and the survey included 284 companies in Jordan. A sample of 263 responses were used for exploratory analysis. Results show that the 46-item instrument was loaded on four factors. During this phase, the measurement scale was purified to 36 items, and characterized with a high degree of reliability. The results were confirmed using confirmatory factor analysis and showed that the 36-item measurement model met the empirical requirements namely, convergent, construct, and discriminant validity. The fitness indicators test for the model shows that it is applicable in SMEs companies’ environment in Jordan. The study presented implications for decision-makers in SMEs companies. The limitation of this study was presented which were relied on to develop directions for future research.

Academics and practitioners have become more interested in big data analytics (BDA) in recent years. There have been few empirical studies on the relationship between BDA and green supply chain management (GSCM), as well as the importance of environmental orientation (EO). A total of 128 responses from Jordanian industrial businesses were evaluated using the structural equation modeling method. The BDA, EO has a favorable and significant relationship with external and internal GSCM, according to the findings of this study. Furthermore, EO serves as a mediator between BDA and the external, and internal GSCM. The findings provide managerial insight into how to use BDA to establish a proactive environmental policy that covers all GSCM activities.
