The data analysis method used in this research was structural equation modelling partial least squares (PLS-SEM) with data processing tools, namely SmartPLS 4.0 software. The findings of this research specify that TQM and eco supply chain management had significant effects on business sustainability. The results of this research indicate that TQM and eco supply chain implementation were manifested in the company's ability to produce high product quality directly affecting the business sustainability of manufacturing companies.

Abstract:
The current study aimed at exploring the impact of supply chain internal and external integration on the operational performance of manufacturing companies operating in Jordan, as well as addressing the possibility of a mediation effect of lean operations and practises on the proposed relationship. Achieving the study objectives necessitated using the deductive approach and the descriptive survey approach. Using a well-designed questionnaire, the primary data was collected from a 315-manager sample randomly selected from the companies. Accordingly, the nature of how supply chain integration, lean operations, and operational performance impact each other was investigated. The study results revealed that integrating the supply chain both internally and externally could increase the opportunity to attain a more desirable operational performance, particularly in terms of quality performance measures. Moreover, in the vein of adopting lean practices among manufacturing companies, a positive mediation effect was found. Thus. In light of these results, it is concluded that lean operations, as a mediating variable, positively influence the association between internal and external supply chain integration on quality measures of operational performance.

DOI: 10.5267/j.msl.2020.11.021

Keywords: Organizational Performance, Formal Strategic Planning, Stakeholders Involvement, Manufacturing Companies

Abstract:
In this globalized world, every company is struggling to sustain and improve its performance. This study investigated the role of formal strategic planning on organizational performance. Moreover, this relation is explored further with the moderation of stakeholders’ involvement. The empirical data were collected from 220 chief executives or general managers of manufacturing companies using a questionnaire survey. AMOS software was used to analyze the collected data. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was conducted to test the hypothesis, and moderation was investigated using a slop test. The results of the study revealed that formal strategic planning could enhance the performance of the organization. Furthermore, the results highlighted that stakeholder's involvement could strengthen the relationship between formal strategic planning and organizational performance. Previous studies have highlighted the importance of overall strategic management in enhancing an organization's performance. The research also revealed that performance was affected mainly by formal strategic planning and stakeholder involvement. The study used manufacturing companies in Jordan. Moreover, the data was collected from 220 respondents. Therefore, future studies should be conducted from any other country's perspective and use a larger sample size. This study has used moderation of stakeholder's involvement to get more specific results. Future studies should use organizational culture as a moderating variable.

Abstract:
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, digital marketing and green marketing are considered as some of the most emerging topics. However, the major problem is associated with the lack of CSR policies, development and adaptation of green marketing in the companies operating in manufacturing companies in the UK. In this manner, this study aimed to determine the role of digital marketing, CSR policies and green marketing in brand development. Concerning this, the case of UK’s manufacturing companies was considered which can help the manufacturing companies operating in the UK to make the development of brand more effective, as the consumers would perceive the brand which complies with the environmental laws. To attain the aim, the researchers utilized a quantitative method of data collection where a close-ended survey questionnaire was utilized. The data was collected from the concerned participants working in the manufacturing sector of the UK and the sample size considered for the analysis was based on 404 participants. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) on Smart PLS. The analysis revealed that the overall impact of green marketing, CSR policy and digital marketing was statistically significant on the brand development of UK’s manufacturing companies. Considering this, it has been recommended to the manufacturing companies in the UK to focus on environmental disclosure, green innovation, green alliance and promotional activity for the purpose of ensuring brand development. However, this study is limited to the geographical bounds of the UK; therefore, it has a certain room for future research.
