The present includes the synthesis of pyrazoline derivatives using chalcones and phenyl hydrazine in the presence of ethanol. It also reveals that 2-pyrazoline complexes are physiologically active and may be used in a variety of therapeutic functions. FT-IR, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR, LC-MS, and elemental analyses were used to characterise newly synthesised phenyl-pyrazoline derivatives. The antimicrobial activity of the synthesised compounds was assessed using the agar well diffusion assay and the Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC). Compounds 4b, 4f, and 4h have exhibited remarkable antibiotic action against bacterial strains such as Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella. Typhi, and Shigella sp. On the other hand, compound 4h had significant antifungal activity against Candida albicans and Aspergillus fusarium and was a highly promising agent when compared to standard nystatin.

Parabens are chemicals that are frequently used as preservatives in numerous cosmetic products. In recent years, the safety concern over these compounds has grown due to their endocrine-disrupting activity. In this research, a novel green magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer (GMMIP) was synthesised using propylparaben as a template and then applied as an adsorbent to selectively recognise and remove parabens from cosmetic samples. The green strategies were introduced by using Persicaria odorata or Kesum leaf extract as a reducing agent to synthesise green magnetic nanoparticles (MNP) as a magnetic core, and deep eutectic solvent (DES) has been designed as an environmentally friendly functional monomer that was used in the preparation of GMMIP. The GMMIP was characterised using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). The results of FESEM and BET indicated that the GMMIP exhibited an irregular spherical shape and mesoporous characteristics with a pore size of 17.74 nm. The adsorption pH, kinetics, isotherms, and thermodynamics parameters were performed to investigate the interactions that take place between GMMIP and propylparaben. The adsorption processes appeared to best fit the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Freundlich isotherm models at an optimum pH of 12. Findings from a thermodynamics study revealed the adsorption process was exothermic, spontaneous, and more favourable at 298 K. The optimised GMMIP was applied as an adsorbent to remove the parabens from cosmetic samples. When compared to methylparaben and ethylparaben, the GMMIP had the highest selectivity and effectively removed propylparaben, with recoveries ranging from 75.6% to 113.3%. It was found that the limits of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) were between 0.03 and 0.05 mg/L and 0.11 and 0.16 mg/L, respectively. The synthesised GMMIP proved to be a convenient and effective adsorbent to remove parabens from cosmetic products.

The construction of a λ-shaped three side substituted alkoxy based molecular system (E1-E8) with azo-ester group was carried out and studied for liquid crystalline applications. The mesogenic behaviour and thermal stability of synthesized derivatives were checked and analyzed by POM, DSC and TGA analysis. These azo-ester based compounds show smectic C and nematic type mesomorphic properties. The observed texture patterns of the synthesized compounds are fan, broken fan, schlieren and threaded types. All derivatives shows broad temperature range of mesophase and further stabilized upto the room temperature. The structure-property relationship has been further studied to understand the effect of variable side-chain on liquid crystalline properties.

A field experiment was carried out to calculate the effect of thermal requirements and its relation to the yield and chemical content of sugar beet during two growing seasons in Upper Egypt. The temperature effects on sodium, potassium, and alpha - amino nitrogen contents. There was a high correlation between growing degree days (GDD) of three harvesting dates and three sugar beet varieties. The results indicated that increasing harvesting date increased roots and sugar yields.

Drug-resistant microorganisms are a serious problem, particularly when more strains become immune to different antimicrobials. Antibiotic resistance has now developed in several microbes. Therefore, it is crucial to build new medications that are still efficient. The amount of funding that is often available for such progress is lower than what is necessary. Kydia calycina is a Malvaceae flowering plant used in traditional Indian medicine to cure several diseases, including infections. The goal of this study was to determine whether K. Calycina has antifungal and antibacterial properties. Infections are caused by the profusion of microbes in the environment; thus, plant products and active chemicals are employed to assess the antimicrobial property of the extracts and the inhibition zone of each extract on a range of bacterial and fungal strains. The results showed that when it was applied to the species that were studied, there was a considerable decrease in the growth of bacteria. The plant was subjected to a phytochemical analysis, which was completed. This plant may be employed in the quest for bioactive natural substances that might be used as leads in the creation of pharmaceuticals. The antimicrobial mechanism of action was investigated by molecular docking, and it was determined that Hibiscoquinone B and Hibiscone C showed both antibacterial and antifungal activity.

In the present work, synthesis of phthalimide and naphthalimide derived Biginelli compounds was performed. Allylation of phthalic & naphthalic anhydride, followed by ozonolysis resulted in the formation of N-phathalimido/naphpthalimido acetaldehyde (2 and 7). These aldehydes were subjected to Biginelli reaction using urea/thiourea and divergent β-keto esters in the presence of sulfated tin oxide (5 mol%) as catalyst in ethanol reflux to produce the corresponding dihydropyrimidinone compounds (5a-j and 8a-h). Additionally, both their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory functions were carried out. Compounds 5e, 5f, 5i, and 5j have shown potent to moderate potent activity for both antioxidant and anti-inflamamtory activities when compared to standard. Compounds 8c and 8g have shown potent antioxidant and anti-inflamamtory activities when compared to other compounds.

Plant growth regulators (PGR), also known as plant hormones, are a variety of chemical compounds that have a significant impact on the development and differentiation of plant cells. This work aimed to study the effect of various combinations of Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) for example [6-Benzyladenine (BA), 2,4-dichlorophenoxyaceticg acid (2,4-D), Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and indol-3-ylbutyric acid (IBA)] on callus induction and shoot regeneration from anther culture of S1 progenies resulted from Manfalouty cultivar open pollinated. The results showed that highest value of percentage of callus induction was 10.6% on MS medium supplemented with 1 mg / l of NAA and 2 mg / l of BA also highest value of percentage of shoot formation 60 % on MS medium supplemented with 3 mg/ l of NAA and 2 mg /l of BA.

The current technique was developed to estimate the amount of alectinib present in spiked rabbit plasma using liquid chromatographic mass spectrometry. The liquid-liquid extraction method was used, and chromatographic separation was carried out on a C18 (4.6mm id x 50mm) analytical column with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and water with 0.1% formic acid at a volume ratio of 75:25. Alectinib's product m/z +483.2 (parent) 396.1 (product) and the internal standard m/z +447.5 (parent) 380.3 (product) were both obtained using positive ion mode. The calibration curve was linear from 0.5 to 600 ng/ml. The percentage extraction recovery (98.15% → 98.86%), demonstrated excellent matrix and analyte selectivity (% interference = 0), and satisfactory stability study results in all types (% nominal 94.94% → 99.63%). The intra and interday accuracy with % nominal 97 → 98.8%, precision % CV ≤ 2% in all quality control levels. The rabbit model's pharmacokinetic parameters were examined, and alectinib's area under the curve (AUC 0—∞) was 4269 ± 8.13 hr.ng/ml. The half-life of elimination (t1/2) is 8.52 ± 6.66 hours. The currently established approach was used in rabbit blood samples for pharmacokinetic investigations of commercial formulations since it was thought to be a novel, verified bioanalytical method based on experimental results.

The processes involved to extract chitosan biopolymers from natural resources often employ hazardous chemicals and long processing time. This work provides a sustainable direct extraction method of chitosan from snail shells. Previous attempts using acetogenin in graviola extracts succeeded in the extraction of chitosan from marine shells. However, the slow reaction has prompted the addition of hydrogen bond acceptor solution into the graviola extract. Choline chloride is an excellent hydrogen bond acceptor mixed with acetogenin as hydrogen bond donor to form natural deep eutectic solvent (NADES) for the direct extraction of chitosan. Chitosan obtained from this method has a degree of deacetylation of 91% and a molecular weight of 481 kDa with fiber-like morphology. The direct extraction of chitosan from NADES consisting of choline chloride and acetogenin has proven to extract chitosan with comparable properties to commercial chitosan.

This study used 30 cm long packed by 3 kg soil columns to explore the effects of peat, compost, and charcoal at 5% on the movement of fipronil (99.9 % purity) in clay loam soil and sandy clay loam soil. The soil columns were preconditioned with calcium chloride solution (0.01 M) before applying the pesticide and potassium iodide. Potassium iodide solution (0.2 M) was added at a rate of 10 mL as a water tracer and a quantity of fipronil solution (10 µg g^-1soil) was applied on the soil surface of each column. Next, fipronil was leached from the soil columns with a calcium chloride solution (0.1 M) and the leachates were collected and analyzed. The results show that water tracer I^- leached fast in soil columns. The breakthrough curve of fipronil appeared from leachates of soil columns after iodide for a while, indicating that fipronil is a moderate or lower mobile compound depending on type of soil and type of soil amendments. In general, adding soil amendments (peat, compost, and charcoal) to clay loam soil and sandy clay loam soil resulted in improved fipronil adsorption and decreased the amount of fipronil that leached into groundwater. This study is very useful for preserving groundwater from pollution, especially in the Middle East due to the lack of water sources.
