This study considers an integrated inventory planning and distribution problem based on an applied case at the Turkish Red Crescent’s Central Anatolian Regional Blood Center. We define two echelons, the first echelon being the regional blood center and the second echelon being the districts. The blood products are perishable so that the outdated products are disposed of at the end of their lives. We aim to minimize the cost of inventory keeping at both echelons, the shortage, and disposal amounts at the second echelon. We consider two distribution strategies: all deliveries are realized by the regional blood center (current implementation), and the deliveries are directly from the regional blood center or the other districts. We develop a mixed-integer linear programming model for each strategy. Our experimental results show that the decentralized strategy brings significant cost reductions over the centralized strategy. The mathematical model for the centralized distribution strategy can handle large-sized instances. On the other hand, the model for the decentralized distribution strategy is more complex and could not handle large-sized instances in our pre-specified termination limit of two hours. For large-sized instances of the decentralized distribution strategy, we design a decomposition-based heuristic algorithm that benefits from the optimal solutions of the original model and finds near-optimal solutions very quickly.

Leaf springs are machine elements that provide safety and driving comfort by storing the energy caused by the loads coming to the chassis and transport elements depending on the road conditions. Leaf springs are suspension elements commonly used particularly in heavy commercial vehicles. In this study, prototype leaf spring production was realized by forming the metal sheet and making heat treatments. Residual stress analysis, hardness, bending and strain gauge measurements were performed to examine the mechanical properties of the leaf spring produced. After the applied tempering process, the leaf spring microstructure was examined.

The purpose of this empirical study is to determine how Jordan's internal control system affects the efficiency of accounting information systems (AIS) services and client satisfaction. The study's goal is to shed light on how important a robust internal control system is for increasing customer satisfaction with AIS services. A quantitative research methodology is used to collect data from a survey of 265 representative customers of Jordanian enterprises (Commercial BANKS). Data is analyzed using second generation analysis technic (SmartPLS) software. In the context of AIS, the findings emphasize the significance of the internal control system in bolstering the link between service quality and customer satisfaction. The research advances our understanding of AIS and has significant ramifications for companies seeking to improve customer satisfaction and service quality. The researcher also offered suggestions for further research.

This study was conducted in order to analyze the effect of the nurses’ quality of work life based on fear about COVID-19 and examine the psychological well-being as a moderating variable in this relationship. The survey questionnaire was administered among nurses between 1 November 2020 and 14 November 2020. The self-report survey comprised the nurse information survey, Fear of COVID-19 Scale, work quality of life scale, and psychological well-being scale as data collection tools. Data were obtained from 339 nurses. The findings show that fear of COVID-19 negatively affects nurses’ quality of work life. It has been determined that PWB plays a moderating role in this relationship. While the fear of COVID-19 negatively affects the quality of work life in nurses with low psychological well-being, there is not any kind of significant effect on the quality of work life in nurses with high psychological well-being. This result shows that as the psychological well-being of nurses’ increases, fear of COVID-19 effect on quality of work life decreases. The results of the study show that responses designed to enhance psychological well-being can enhance nurses' working conditions that could reduce the negative effects of the fear of COVID-19. There is an urgent need for clinical and policy strategies to help increase nurses’ PWB in order to increase the quality of work life by reducing fear and also anxiety among nurses fighting on the front line during COVID-19.

Few studies have explored the stakeholder conflict from the perspective of hotelier and/or travel agency; however, this study has aimed to investigate stakeholder conflict from the perspective of guests, and its effects on guests’ satisfaction and behavioral intentions while ex-amine mediating factor of guests ’perceived value, which has not been examined empirically before. Since no scale could be found that measures guests’ perceived stakeholder conflict factors (PSCF) arose from unsatisfactory relationship between accommodation establishments and tour operators/travel agencies, this study conceptualized PSCF and developed a scale for assessing this conflict and its outcomes. Through careful instrument development process, four sub-dimensions and 17 items of PSCF were identified. Thereafter, the study empirically tested the conceptual model by conducting survey study to collect data. The mediation effects obtained indicated that guests ‘perceived value mediated the effects of the PSCF on guest satisfaction and behavioral intentions associated with the accommodation businesses. The instrument is demonstrated to have good suitability, validity, and reliability. Applying the scale of PSCF enabled the identification of the two consequences of guests' satisfaction and behavioral intentions. Limitations, recommendations for future research and managerial implications are provided.

This study focuses on hoarding of digital assets. Today people’s ownership of digital assets can be uncontrolled and the measurement tool designed in the study is expected to be useful for young people, health care organizations, businesses (smartphone firms etc.) and research-ers. In the study, previous researches on hoarding, in particular hoarding of digital assets are reviewed. We then describe the process by which we developed our digital photograph hoarding scale (DPHS): development of scale items, evaluation of items, testing of a preliminary version, conducting validity and reliability analyses and analysis of scale scores. As a result, sub-dimensions of the digital photograph hoarding are identified as: problems caused by un-controlled acquisition of photographs; problems caused by clutter; uncontrolled clutter of photographs; failure to dispose of photographs and related problems; uncontrolled taking of photographs accompanied by a constant desire to do so. It is seen that people with high DPHS scores also have higher scores on measures of photographing and photograph examination. Finally, the limitations of the research are discussed and suggestions for the future researches are offered.

Organizational cynicism is one of the key factors that should be monitored in an organization since it is largely due to organizational reasons and it can be expressed that some of the most important reasons are human resources management (HRM) practices and organizational justice concepts. Although there are some researches on the bilateral relations of these variables with each other, in the literature, no study that examined the relationships and effects be-tween these three concepts, at the same time, has been observed. Therefore, this study focuses on the relationship between perceived HRM practices and organizational cynicism with the mediating role of perceived organizational justice. In this study, descriptive approach was applied and to test the research model; a quantitative method and questionnaire-based survey were conducted. The survey data were collected from the employees across local administra-tions (municipalities) in a developing country, Northern Cyprus, by using convenience sampling method. In order to test the conceptual framework, SPSS v24, Hayes Process v3.4 and Amos v22.0 Programs were used. In this context, in SPSS program, exploratory factor analyses and linear regression analysis were performed. Besides, Amos Program was used for confirmatory factor analyses. In addition, Hayes Process analysis was applied to determine the mutual relationships between variables and the direct and indirect effects between each other. According to the results of the analysis, it is observed that the perceived organizational justice mediates the relationship between perceived human resources management practices and organizational cynicism. In other words, the results proved that effective application of contemporary HRM approaches boosts the perception of organizational justice and at the same time helps to reduce organizational cynicism and also high perceived organizational justice reduces organizational cynicism. In addition, in this study, the scale developed by Singh (2004), which was widely used in the measurement of HRM practices in the literature, was further developed by the addition of work conditions, and at last it has been transformed into a more comprehensive scale that can be used in both public and private sectors. Thus, it has been made more appropriate for today's HRM practices and theory. Consequently, this study contributes to the relevant theoretical literature and has some important implications for managers.

This research aims to examine the effects of two viral marketing attributes; namely viral advertising and E-WOM on customer purchase intention. In particular, the authors contemplate the prima facie nature of the relationship by examining brand image and age as contingent boundary conditions (moderator role). The population of the study consists of graduate students in a private Cypriot university. A sample size of 177 participants is recruited using a convenience sampling technique. Multiple linear regression and analysis of variance are the statistical analyses employed to test the developed hypotheses. The findings reveal that viral marketing influenced on customer purchase intention magnified under the moderating role of brand image but age did not affect the relationship. Interestingly, viral advertising had a greater effect on customer purchase intention than E-WOM. Finally, discussions of this research finding in light of academic knowledge are put forward before suggesting future research directions.

Technology and innovativeness have played an important role in service industries because of the competitive state, especially in developing countries. While using innovative technologies such as self-checkouts in stores is seen as advantageous in many aspects for retailers, if customers cannot adopt it, the usage of in stores becomes disadvantageous. However, the literature offers limited knowledge about the customers' adoption of self-checkouts in spite of its value for the survival of firms. Therefore, understanding what factors affect individuals' intention to use self-checkout systems has been a need for both practitioners and researchers. This study aims to spot out the determinants of intention to use self-checkout systems in a supermarket chain. In this regard, this study employs the technology acceptance model (TAM) to which the constructs technology anxiety, technology self-efficacy, compatibility, and knowledge are incorporated into the original model. The results of the analysis of the data (N=281) reveals that: (i) technology self-efficacy and knowledge are positively related to two beliefs, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, (ii) compatibility is positively associated with perceived usefulness, (iii) perceived usefulness is positively related to attitude, and (iv) attitude is positively associated with intention to use.

It is a fact accepted by everybody that football is the most popular sport around the world. The result of a derby match may be very important for millions of people. Even the time seems to stop on a match day for so many people. Show and entertainment are the most important aspects of football. If soccer players have a high performance, a match may provide pleasure and excitement to audiences. Briefly, the performance and quality of soccer players are the key factors, which draw audiences. Goalkeepers are also one of the important components of football like other players playing different positions such as strikers, mid-fielders, and defenders. Moreover, a goalkeeper can affect the result of a match positively or negatively. Therefore, with the help of a mathematical approach as the methodological framework, it can be seen that the examination of the performance of goalkeepers can be beneficial for decision-makers performing in the fields of sport and the future studies. The current paper proposes an improved integrated multi-criteria decision-making approach to evaluate the selection of goalkeepers; and this model can be applied for goalkeeper’s performance analysis. The proposed model combines the weights of criteria calculated with the help of both the CRITIC and the PSI techniques by applying the weight aggregation operator. It also ranks the decision alternatives by implementing the WASPAS technique based on the final criteria weights obtained by using the weight aggregation operator. In addition, a comprehensive sensitivity analysis consisting of three stages was performed to verify the validation of the suggested hybrid model. It has been observed that A11 has remained the best option for all scenarios. As a result, the results of the sensitivity analysis prove that the proposed hybrid MCDM technique is a very useful, strong and applicable approach. Also, the results obtained by applying the proposed model are accurate, realistic, and reasonable according to the results of the validation test.
