The concept of entrepreneurship has become popular in different countries such as Vietnam and Poland. However, there are few comparative researches on entrepreneurial intention and migration attitudes among students in two countries. The purpose of this study is to show a comparative analysis of some issues related to entrepreneurial intention and migration attitudes such as willingness to take the risks, knowledge about the market, competitors, financial resources, factors effecting on entrepreneurial intention, circumstance and the purpose of going abroad among students in Vietnam and Poland. The study employs quantitative analyses by utilizing some tools of descriptive statistics and Mann Whitney U-Test through SPSS 20.0 to show the differences of factors affecting on intention to start up a business and migration attitudes between Vietnamese and Polish students. The research results show that although the demographic layout of students in two countries was rather similar, there were some differences in 12 out of 17 factors influencing on entrepreneurial intention of Vietnamese and Polish students. In terms of migration attitudes, almost all Vietnamese and Polish students were interested in going abroad to find a job and only minor proportion of them planned to run a business abroad.

Despite the importance of risk management in the banking sector, little research has been devoted to the Ara-bian settings. This paper investigates the effect of risk management practices (i.e., understanding risk and risk management, risk analysis and assessment, risk identification, risk monitoring, and credit risk analysis) on Jordanian commercial banks’ performance. The study utilizes a quantitative approach by obtaining survey data from risk managers and employees in risk management departments (n=23) of commercial banks. A partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied on the data and the results showed that the components of risk management practices had positive and significant impacts on the performance of banks. In sum, the findings corroborate existing work in the Western settings and underscore the importance of risk management in the Arabian banking context.

Nowadays, global technologies, especially digital things, have become an important tool for businesses to maintain feasible partnerships and build a great value connection with other companies. New digital technologies that are emerging every day are on their way to affect nearly all business processes and activities. This study investigates the effect of the digital supply chain on the supply chain and organization performance in the Malaysia manufacturing industry. This paper also further assesses the mediating effect of supply chain performance in the relationship between the digital supply chain and the organizational performance in the Malaysia manufacturing industry. The objectives are achieved via quantitative research design. The researchers emailed the online survey questionnaire to 1160 manufacturing companies listed in the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) directory via stratified sampling technique and received 63 responses. 7 incomplete responses have been deleted and 56 usable responses representing 5.43% of the response rate used for data analysis. The data was analyzed by using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Three hypotheses are not supported and seven hypotheses are supported, which includes all the hypotheses of moderating effect. The manufacturing companies in Malaysia can consider adopting the DSC in the business process to remain reliable in the competitive market by providing good supply chain performance and best organizational performance as a whole. The implication of the study is given to academics and practitioners, specifically manufacturing companies. The limitations and the recommendation for future study have been highlighted.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between supplier performance and supply chain performance, transformational supply chain leadership and supply chain performance, and between supplier performance and transformational supply chain leadership. The study uses a company analysis unit represented by one of the managers in the chain management section. The study also uses quantitative methods and data processing tools using SmartPLS 3.3.3. The population in this study is a manufacturing company in Tangerang. Two hundred and fifty online questionnaires were distributed to each company and 220 eligible respondents were tested. Based on the results of data analysis, it is found that there is a positive and significant relationship between supplier performance and supply chain performance, a positive and significant relationship exists between transformational supply chain leadership and supply chain performance and there is a positive and significant relationship between supplier performance and transformational supply chain leadership.

The objective of this study is to examine the role of HRM and supply chain to promote business performance (BP) sustainability in Thai textile firms. Meditating role of employee skills and raw material is examined. Therefore, the relationship between HRM, supply chain, employee skills, raw material and BP sustainability was examined. Population of the study is textile firms of Thailand. Employees of these textile firms were selected as respondents. 300 questionnaires were distributed among the textile firms of Thailand. Results of the study shows the positive role of HRM in BP sustainability. Better practices of HRM have the ability to promote BP sustainability. HRM has a positive role in employee skills development which further enhances BP sustainability. Moreover, supply chains in textile firms also play a major role to promote BP sustainability. Better supply chain increases the availability of raw material which causes BP sustainability.

Food industry has vital importance globally in which supply chain sustainability plays a key role. Therefore, the objective of this study is to examine the role of passion, planning, goal setting and target achievement in a sustainable supply chain. This study examined the relationship between passion, planning, goal setting, target achievement and sustainable supply chain among the food industry of Indonesia. Questionnaire survey was preferred, and 500 questionnaires were used for data collection. Findings of the study concluded that passion has a positive role in target achievement and an insignificant effect on sustainable supply chain. Planning has a positive effect on target achievement and sustainable supply chain. Moreover, goal setting has a positive role in target achievement and no role in supply chain. Furthermore, target achievement has a significant mediating role. Finally, the relationship between passion, planning, goal setting, target achievement and sustainable supply chain has valuable contributions to the literature.

In Malaysia, manufacturing industry is a major contributor to the economic advancement. As a result, cutting-edge technology like the internet of things (IoT) is projected to have a significant impact on business operations and supply chain management (SCM). However, research into the influence of IoT deployment on supply chains and organizational performance is relatively sparse. Therefore, this study is to determine the relationship between benefits and challenges of IoT adoption and organizational performance. Furthermore, this study looks into the mediating role of supply chain performance in the relationship between IoT adoption benefits and challenges and organizational performance. The population of this study is comprised of 3019 manufacturing companies in Malaysia, while the minimum sample size needed is 43 manufacturing companies.1160 complete set of survey questionnaire were distributed through email and 63 responses received representing five per cent of response rate. Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) is used to assess all of the study's hypotheses. The results of this paper support six out of the seven hypotheses tested. In conclusion, the manufacturing industry in Malaysia needs to be exposed more to the benefits of IoT rather than keep discussing its challenges. This study can be a guideline to the manufacturing companies in decision making for IoT adoption. The limitations and recommendation for future study is highlighted.

This study aims to examine the contribution of the application of total quality control in improving quality performance and its consequences for the creation of competitive advantage. The research method used is a verification survey method to describe the empirical conditions of the production process activities at SMEs producing cocoa in Central Sulawesi Province. The analytical tool used is path analysis with a two-stage regression approach to examine the structural relationship between variables. The results show that total quality control consisting of employee empowerment, employee training and teamwork culture had a significant effect on improving the quality performance of cocoa SMEs. The consequences of improving quality performance are proven to mediate employee empowerment, employee training, and a culture of teamwork in creating a competitive advantage for cocoa SMEs in Central Sulawesi Province.

Telecom supply chain (TSC) research has determined several risk sources can happen for sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) due to their ambiguous nature. However, investigation of these risks is relatively sparse and has primarily been independent with less combinatory research, despite their interrelationships and causality. The present study aims to address that gap by an extant literature review and analysis of relationships among risk factors using a combination of fuzzy approaches. A mixed approach was used, including empirical data from private and government firms in a developing telecom sector. This research finding confirmed that economical dimension risk is major for SSCM in the TSC. In developing countries, it could help telecom service providers in determining which risk factors are critical and those that are crucially significant. As a result, they will be able to more effectively develop strategies focussing on the most affecting risk dimension for SSCM. This is the first study using a hybrid fuzzy approach that analysed interrelationships of risk factors for SSCM. Further, it gives a comprehensive view of risk assessment in the risk management context in the supply chain.

The arrival of the era of robots and autonomous machines is undisputable. It is anticipated that the future business environment will be characterized by a variety of intelligent systems and autonomous robots. In 2017, the International Federation of Robotics reported that momentum gained by robotic technologies is strong and that the sales volumes of both service and industrial robots is expected to grow. Building on this projection, the present study proposes a set of prerequisites or key determinants for the adoption of autonomous robots in the supply chain and logistics industry: technological context (i.e., relative advantage, complexity, and cost), organizational context (i.e., management support, financial support and employee competence) and environmental context (i.e., competitive pressure, customer pressure and vendor support). The study adapts a quantitative research design and uses an online survey to collect the needed data to test the conceptual framework and hypotheses proposed. Part of the study results confirms the association between the cost of digital technologies and the adoption of autonomous robots. However, the study found no evidence that the perceived relative advantage positively impacts supply chain and logistics firms’ adoption of autonomous robots. The study offers some managerial advices to supply chain mangers and marketers of the digital technologies and tools that can be applied in the supply chain setting.
