DOI: 10.5267/j.uscm.2022.9.016

Keywords: Key user capability, Digital supply chain, Supply chain flexibility, Financial performance

Abstract:
Organizational competitiveness is enhanced by implementing supply chain integration. Organizations, through information technology, can integrate internal and external cross-functional. The team assigned to run the integration system in its function is designated as the key user who can implement and maintain an ongoing basis. Key user capabilities are needed to maintain a digital supply chain in information technology systems to integrate internally and externally. Data analysis using Partial least squares (PLS) on 89 hotel organizations with a one-star category or more shows that key user capability significantly affects internal cross-functional integration (β = 0.728) and external cross-functional integration (β = 0.127). Key user capability has an impact on supply chain flexibility (β = 0.370) while internal cross-functional integration influences increasing supply chain flexibility (β = 0.373) and financial performance (β = 0.421). External cross-functional integration increases supply chain flexibility (β = 0.316) and financial performance (β = 0.441). Lastly, supply chain flexibility impacts increasing financial flexibility (β = 0.192). The research contributes enrichment to the theory of digital supply chain and practical contribution to enlighten top management in information technology investment.

Authors: Zeplin Jiwa Husada Tarigan, Sahnaz Ubud, Zefanya Valentino Bastanta Tarigan, Ferry Jie

DOI: 10.5267/j.jpm.2025.4.005

Keywords: Configuration management decisions, Firm resilience, Resource configuration, Operational flexibility, Collaborative supply chain

Abstract:
Global competition requires the company's appropriate rules and policies. The company is trying to build strong, firm resilience to maintain sustainability. The research aims to analyze the influence of management configuration decisions on company resilience through the integration of resource configuration, operational flexibility, and collaboration in the supply chain. This study was conducted on 462 manufacturing companies in Indonesia that were experiencing changes in operational systems and global competitive pressures. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The research results show that management configuration decisions influence resource configuration and supply chain collaboration integration but do not directly influence operational flexibility. Resource configuration is proven to increase operational flexibility and supply chain collaboration integration, which in turn strengthens company resilience. Operational flexibility also plays an important role in supporting the integration of supply chain collaboration and company resilience in the face of external disruptions. This research provides a theoretical contribution to the development of a tough and practical supply chain strategy for management in building an organization that is adaptive to disruption.

The effect of amended order on firm resilience through supply chain coordination Pages 1009-1022 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Hotlan Siagian, Sahnaz Ubud, Sautma Ronni Basana, Zeplin Jiwa Husada Tarigan

DOI: 10.5267/j.uscm.2022.2.012

Keywords: Amended order, Firm resilience, Internal operational coordination, Coordinated with the supplier, Coordination with the customer

Abstract:
Pandemic Covid 19 has resulted in manufacturing companies experiencing disruptions in fulfilling customer orders and changes in product forecasting results from calculation. Manufacturing companies essential in handling covid experience increased demands, while other companies not related to covid experienced a decrease even in cancellation of orders. Order changes determine the company's performance. This research is related to the effect of order changes on firm resilience through supply chain coordination. The distribution of questionnaires to manufacturing companies in Indonesia is done by sending a google form link in the social media group. Data obtained as many as 446 questionnaires and analyzed using the partial least square technique. The study results showed that amended orders positively impacted 0.728 to the internal operational coordination, the positive influence of 0.201 to coordinate with the supplier, and positive effect with a coefficient of 0.213 to coordination with the customer. Internal operational coordinated influence coordinated with the customer of 0.593 and coordinated with the customer of 0.515. Supply chain coordinated impact on the company's supply chain resilience determined by internal operational coordination by 0.371, coordinated with the supplier of 0.183 and coordinated with the customer of 0.199. The practical contribution of the research is to make managers able to build a coordinated Supply chain to overcome amended orders and increase supply chain deficiencies.

Abstract:
The development of internet information technology has encouraged the presence of various application platforms that can be used for multiple needs. One application that is very widely used socially is the social media application. Through social media applications, users can share information according to their needs. The use of the internet also supports the use of streaming technology that makes it easier to carry out activities to watch movies online. The availability of information technology facilities and infrastructure makes it easier for people to get films. This study aims to study the influence of electronic worth of mouth on online customer loyalty through information sharing, perceived ease of use, and intention to use. This study collected data using questionnaires as many as 378 respondents of streaming technology users obtained from the spread of 1237 questionnaires, which means a response rate of 30.55%. Data analysis uses the partial least square technique to test the study's hypothesis. The results showed that electronic word of mouth directly affects perceived ease of use, intention to use, and information sharing. Perceived ease of use is based on the intention to use, information sharing, and customer loyalty. Information sharing directly affects the intention to use and online customer loyalty. The results also showed that intention to use impacts increasing customer loyalty. In addition to direct influence, the study's results showed that electronic worth of mouth indirectly affects online customer loyalty through information sharing, perceived ease of use, and intention to use. This research enriches the field of technology acceptance model with perceived ease of use, intention to use, and information sharing. Contributions to the theory of marketing behavior are related to electronic word of mouth and online customer loyalty. A practical contribution to companies engaged in the cinema and internet technology infrastructure providers is to sustainably apply streaming technology as a form of business that society uses.
