Keywords: Logistics and Supply Chain, Environment, Sustainable, Green Industrial, Industrial Business, Structural Equation Model

Abstract:
Industry plays a vital role in developing Thailand and supporting and driving businesses. The increase in industry benefits the national income. However, it also affects the environment. Industrial companies must adapt to reduce problems by developing organizational infrastructure, such as logistics activities or operations, which are the major systems and causes of environmental issues. Therefore, this study aims to study guidelines for logistic system and supply chain management for the environment in industrial business and develop a structural equation model (SEM). The study used a mixed-method research design; the qualitative method, in-depth interviews with nine experts and a focus group with 11 experts were used. Concerning the quantitative method, a questionnaire survey was used with 500 green industries. Descriptive statistics, inference statistics, and multivariate analysis were also used to analyze the data. The study found four essential aspects: (1) Customer orientation, (2) Green network, (3) Logistic process, and (4) Organization management. Finally, the hypothesis testing results found that in medium- and large-sized industries, the importance of the variables of the logistic system and supply chain management for the environment had no statistically significant difference at 0.05. The results from the analysis of the structural equation model found that the study passed the evaluation and was relevant to empirical data with a chi-square probability level of 0.066, a relative chi-square of 1.133, a goodness of fit index of 0.954, and root mean square error of approximation equal to 0.016.

The effects of sustainable supply chain management and organizational learning abilities on the performance of the manufacturing companies Pages 1345-1358 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Mohammad Hafi, Ujianto Ujianto, Tri Andjarwati

DOI: 10.5267/j.uscm.2022.7.004

Keywords: Sustainable, Supply Chain Management, Organizational Learning Capability, Company Performance, Innovation, Competitive Advantage

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the effect of supply chain management sustainability and organizational learning ability on company performance which is also measured by intervening variables of product design innovation and competitive advantage and moderated by environmental uncertainty. This study used a sample of 383 companies from a population of 5,495 in East Java Province, Indonesia. This study also uses a quantitative approach with more emphasis on social aspects with a deductive model. Some of the findings in this study are that there is no significant effect on company performance and organizational learning ability if mediated by product design innovation, even though this is very important for the company's progress in the future and proves that many companies in this province. have not fully implemented design innovation as a measure of the quality of the goods produced. And the second is that all the components of the variables analyzed produce significant values for all dependent variables so that the adjustment to the impact of the pandemic gets a good response from the industry that is working.

Abstract:
Village tourism is one of the alternative forms of sustainable tourism that began to be developed in Bali. Bongkasa Pertiwi tourism village is one of the villages designated as a tourist village with a variety of natural potential. The purpose of this research is to analyze the strategy and development program of the Bongkasa Pertiwi Tourism Village, and to analyze the factors that play a role in the sustainability of the Bongkasa Pertiwi Tourism Village. The main data collection technique in this study is through FGD, the results of which are input to the SWOT and MICMAC analysis. The results of the SWOT analysis show that Bongkasa Pertiwi Tourism Village has strong category competitiveness, and high category attractiveness as a tourist village, so the strategic position of the development of the Kenderan tourism village is in the condition of growth and build. The three main factors in the sustainability of a tourist village are the uniqueness of the tourist village, the competence of human resources, and the presence of a driving force that has a link with stakeholders.

A risk management model for large projects in the construction phase in Egypt Pages 25-36 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Mohamed Mostafa Habib, Marwa Ahmed Kamer Eldawla, Mahmoud Ahmed Zaki

DOI: 10.5267/j.jpm.2022.9.001

Keywords: Risk, Sustainable, Risk analysis, Quantitative risk analysis, Risk response

Abstract:

The implementation of major projects is complicated by the multiplicity of beneficiaries, owners, and all participants in the project as well as the technical overlap between the various engineering, financial and administrative works, while the specific features of the construction activity have a clear influence in shaping the nature of construction projects because the implementation processes were associated with a deep and long-term intervention in the natural environment, where construction is a burden on the environment, both in the construction phase and during the maintenance and liquidation phases: it requires depreciation of a large number of material resources. Through that, this study focused on clarifying the most important concepts of risk management and modern strategies in risk analysis and how to respond to them and monitor projects. The study then presented a questionnaire for the risks facing major projects in Egypt. Through analyzing the results of the questionnaire, a qualitative risk analysis was conducted that can be used to prioritize response to risks, in addition to conducting a Monte Carlo simulation based on theoretical foundations and providing a new process for prioritizing project risks related to sustainability, where the (Primavera Risk Analysis) program was used to clarify the impact of risks on project time and cost. All analyses are based on the theoretical background regarding risk, risk management process, and project life cycle approach in the sustainable construction sector. with the help of this study, it is possible to address ways of mitigating the harmful effects on the environment through the implementation of sustainable management in the planning of future projects and better management of current projects.

DOI: 10.5267/j.jfs.2026.1.004

Keywords: AHP, Water Security, Challenges, Factors, Socioeconomic, Geopolitical, Sustainable

Abstract:
Water security is a significant challenge in India due to its rapidly growing population, increasing demand for water, and frequent droughts and floods. The country has also been facing issues related to water pollution, inefficient water management practices, and limited access to safe drinking water. Ensuring water security in India requires a comprehensive approach that involves the integration of technology, policy, and community engagement to address the complex challenges associated with water management. This research paper identifies eight major challenges of water security in India, including population growth, climate change, water resource management, anthropogenic factors, technological factors, socio economic issues, geopolitical factors, and virtual water trade. Using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, this study ranks these challenges based on their relative importance. The findings suggest that population growth and climate change are the most critical challenges, followed by poor water resource management, anthropogenic factors, technological factors, socio economic issues, geopolitical factors, and virtual water trade. The study highlights the need for integrated and holistic approaches to address these challenges and ensure sustainable water management in India.
