The influence of hybrid working through readiness for change on sustainable performance management in the service sector in ASEAN Pages 955-968 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: M.B. Pandjaitan, M. Khusaini, M.F. Aminuddin, Panji Suwarno

DOI: 10.5267/j.dsl.2025.7.003

Keywords: Hybrid Working, Readiness for Change, Sustainable Performance Management, Path Analysis, SmartPLS, Human resource management

Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift to hybrid working, especially in ASEAN's service sector. This transition requires high readiness for change to maintain performance. Hybrid working offers flexibility and improved work-life balance but also presents challenges like miscommunication and inequality. Successful implementation depends on organizational adaptability, employee readiness, and technological support. This study aims to analyze the influence of hybrid working through readiness for change on sustainable performance management in the service sector in ASEAN. This study uses a quantitative path analysis approach A sample of 385 respondents was analyzed via SmartPLS, with a focus on understanding these dynamics in the ASEAN service sector. Hybrid working models significantly impact sustainable performance management in ASEAN's service sector by enhancing flexibility, operational resilience, and employee satisfaction. These models allow organizations to adapt to changing conditions and improve job satisfaction, which fosters a proactive approach to change. This, in turn, supports sustainable performance by creating adaptable and resilient structures. Empirical evidence shows that hybrid working leads to higher engagement and better performance metrics, underscoring its effectiveness in managing performance sustainably in a dynamic business environment. Hybrid working models enhance readiness for change by boosting organizational agility, employee engagement, psychological safety, and continuous learning. These factors collectively prepare employees and organizations to adapt effectively to new strategies and technologies. In the ASEAN service sector, hybrid working is linked to higher readiness for change, supporting sustainable performance management and long-term resilience. Readiness for change is crucial for sustainable performance management in ASEAN’s service sector. It drives continuous improvement, fosters a proactive culture, and enhances adaptability to external pressures. High readiness for change correlates with better performance, as organizations effectively manage and leverage change for long-term success.

Impact of intelligent tutoring on emotion and academic performance of systems engineering students at the national university of central Peru Pages 289-296 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Kevin Taype Soriano, Miguel Fernando Inga-Avila, Roberto Líder Churampi-Cangalaya

DOI: 10.5267/j.ijdns.2024.11.002

Keywords: Intelligent Tutoring Systems, Academic Achievement, Student Satisfaction, Emotional Engagement, SmartPLS

Abstract:
This paper investigates the impact and implementation of Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) on enhancing educational outcomes for engineering students at the Universidad Nacional del Centro del Perú. The model emphasizes the role of ITS in improving academic achievement, student satisfaction, and engagement, considering critical dimensions like emotional attitude, cognitive receptivity, and reflective strategy. Using SmartPLS for data analysis and an application developed in Flutter, the study demonstrates that ITS can positively influence student emotion and performance. Reliability metrics confirm robustness, with Cronbach's alpha values between 0.76 and 0.876 and AVE scores above 0.7. Predictive power is supported by R-squared values of 0.746 for student emotion and 0.723 for ITS impact on academic performance. Path coefficients underscore significant relationships, such as ITS influence on emotional engagement (0.549) and academic satisfaction (0.384). Findings suggest that integrating ITS with emotional and cognitive dimensions can foster higher academic satisfaction and achievement.

Moderation role of government acts, laws and policies between economic factors and risk management: A case study of Saudi Arabia contractors Pages 213-226 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Muhammad Abdul Rehman, Md Sayuti Bin Ishak

DOI: 10.5267/j.jpm.2023.8.001

Keywords: SmartPLS, Government Regulatory Procedures, Risk Management, Economic Factors

Abstract:
In construction projects, contractors have prioritized risks due to abandonment of operations and events, interruptions, time, and cost overruns. Construction hazards are linked to the ambiguity and unpredictability of the timely delivery of a project, with standard quality and within an allowable budget. The bid process is heavily reliant on economic considerations which include the exchange market, rate of interest and cost inflation for equipment and workforce. Project failure takes place if economic considerations have not complied for effective management of risks in construction. The research framework is founded on Organization Control Theory and focused on the PLS-SEM approach which addresses the effect of economic factors with moderating government regulatory procedures on the management of risks in construction within 303 large (higher than 250 workers) Saudi Arabian contractors. In the PLS-SEM approach, complicated models are effectively analyzed with higher statistical power. The findings show that economic factors and government regulatory procedures have a favorable impact on the management of risks in the Saudi Arabian development industry. Additionally, moderating government regulatory procedures has a favorable correlation to the management of risks in the Saudi Arabian construction sector. By addressing economic considerations, this study enables practitioners, experts and stakeholders involved in construction industries to conduct effective management of risks in the construction sector.

COVID-19 fears and e-learning platforms acceptance among Jordanian university students Pages 905-914 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Thaer Majali, Kholoud Al-kyid, Ibrahim Alhassan, Samer Barkat, Rateb Almajali

DOI: 10.5267/j.ijdns.2022.2.006

Keywords: E-learning, SmartPLS, Behavioral intention, Perceived ease of use, Social influence

Abstract:
Broadening the approval and usage of technology to study online education is not a novel study subject, and several researchers have addressed it. However, the production of a systematic Technology acceptance model capable of examining online education adoption in the current Covid-19 is seen as a vital research path. Literature research was conducted to evaluate the most used external influences of innovation adoption regarding online learning acceptance. The search revealed that computer self-efficacy, corona apprehension, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness are the external factors for technology acceptance. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the variables that online education programs' approval among students can influence. 185 students from Jordan's Al-Zaytoonah University and Applied Science Private University participated in the online research. The online questionnaire system in this report was analyzed using SmartPLS tools. According to the findings, perceived usefulness, behavioral intent of use, self-efficacy, and Corona fear all positively affect the adoption of online education programs. The findings of this study were used as a required input in the latest online education interactive analytical production that was used extensively during the pandemic.
