Digital drivers of digital transformation in public sector organizations Pages 495-502 PDF Download PDF

Authors: Mohammad Faleh Hunitie, Abdel Hakim Akhorshaideh

doi 10.5267/j.ijdns.2024.8.016

๐Ÿ”‘ Keywords: Digital government, Digital leadership, Digital HRM, Digital transformation, Public organizations

Abstract:
This study aimed to investigate digital drivers of digital transformation success in public sector organizations. Based on prior related studies, three digital drivers were selected as key drivers, which are digital government, digital leadership, and digital HRM. Gathering data by online questionnaires from public sector employees, the study based on SmartPLS 3.0 statistics found significant and positive impacts of these three drivers on digital transformation success. Interestingly, the results refer to the success of digital transformation is greatly subject to digital HRM and possibly this effect is due to the fact that the basic aim of digital government and digital leadership is to enhance the operations of the digitization process through adopting digital-oriented public administration mentality, creating public value, setting shared digital vision and strategy, communicating digital change goals, initiating digital organizational culture, which is basically guided and can be attained through efficient and effective digital HRM practices. Hence, the study contributes to the literature through underlying three digital drivers of digital transformation success. It calls scholars for considering these drivers when examining success factors of digital transformation and practitioners when redesigning organizations to adapt digital change.

Abstract:
This research aims to provide a logical and experimental framework that helps organizations achieve goals in turbulent environments by examining the impact of dynamic capabilities on competitive performance with the conditional indirect effect of entrepreneurship orientation and digital leadership. A conceptual framework was derived from well-established theories in strategic management, along with empirical evidence based on a survey conducted on a sample of 102 leaders and managers in the entrepreneurial companies in Jordan. This study demonstrates the positive impact of dynamic capabilities in developing competitive performance. Moreover, the entrepreneurship orientation mediates the relationship between dynamic capabilities and competitive performance and digital leadership has a positive moderating role in this relationship. This research recommends leaders and managers in entrepreneurial organizations to define clear standards for measuring competitive performance that enable identifying and correcting deviations in a timely manner and invites them to focus on creating value in turbulent environments by exploiting advanced technological capabilities and adopting innovative strategies and business models.

Utilizing business intelligence and digital transformation and leadership to enhance employee job satisfaction and business added value in greater Amman municipality Pages 1077-1084 PDF Download PDF

Authors: Hanandeh Raed, Esraa Farid Qawasmeh, Alserhan Alserhan, Hanandeh Ahmad, Qais Hammouri, Mona Halim, Darawsheh Darawsheh

doi 10.5267/j.ijdns.2023.5.016

๐Ÿ”‘ Keywords: Business Added-Value, Digital Transformational, Digital Leadership, Business Intelligence, Job Satisfaction

Abstract:
The goal of this study was to find out how business intelligence systems, AI, and digital leadership affect how satisfied employees are with their jobs and how much value they add to companies in the Greater Amman Municipality. After the study samples were taken and looked at, a total of 246 samples were approved to be used in the PLS software-based analysis. The results of this study showed that putting in place business intelligence tools, artificial intelligence, and digital leadership all made employees happier with their jobs and gave businesses more value. The research showed that there are four key parts to digital leadership: commander, communicator, collaborator, and co-creator. The main parts of business intelligence are Data Warehouse, Data Mining, Business Process Management, and Competitive Intelligence. Findings show that digital transformation is made up of three key parts: changing processes, developing business models, and changing domains. The results also show that an employee's level of job satisfaction, which includes things like business success, work commitment, and job thinking, is linked to how much value they add to the company. Intriguingly, the current results go against those of earlier studies, which said that the variables of interest have no effect on how happy employees are with their jobs or how much value companies add for their customers. When the results of this study are looked at as a whole, they say that businesses should start doing things that make employees happier at work and increase the value of the business. The current study is innovative because it focuses on the most important parts of business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and digital leadership in order to improve employee satisfaction at work and the quality of business learning with added value in Greater Amman Municipality.

The effects of digital transformation, digital leadership, and entrepreneurial motivation on business decision making and business process performance: Evidence from greater Amman municipality Pages 575-582 PDF Download PDF

Authors: Ahmad Hanandeh, Asmahan Majed Altaher, Mona Halim, Walaa Rezk, Naoufel Mahfoudh, Qais Hammouri, Saddam Rateb Darawsheh

doi 10.5267/j.ijdns.2023.3.014

๐Ÿ”‘ Keywords: Digital Transformational, Digital Leadership, Entrepreneurial Motivation, Decision Making Process, Business Process Performance

Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of digital transformation, digital leadership, and entrepreneurial motivation on business decision making and business process performance in the Greater Amman Municipality. The study's hypotheses were put to the test and proven through a variety of quantitative analysis and data processing techniques. The research hypotheses were evaluated using a Structural Equation Model. Participants in this research are managers from the middle and high echelons of the Greater Amman Municipality, who were responsible for making decisions in their respective divisions. One hundred and eighty middle and upper-level managers with at least eight years' experience in public service were recruited for this study from the Greater Amman Municipality. Distributed questionnaires and the deliberate sampling technique were used to compile this data. Decision making had a positive effect on the business process performance, and the results of hypothesis testing data processing using Structural Equation Model indicated that digital transformation, digital leadership, and the motivation of the business environment all had positive and significant effects on business decision making and business process performance in the Greater Amman Municipality. To conduct their research, the authors opted to focus on digital transformation, which includes four primary components: process transformation, business model change, domain transformation, and cultural transformation. The following dimensions commander, communicator, collaborator, and co-creator were all indicative of digital leadership. Entrepreneurial motivation could be seen in the wordโ€™s communication, hassle-free work environment, mastering the art of constructive criticism, and trust among others. The novel aspect of this study is the model developed to explain the interplay between digital transformation, digital leadership, and entrepreneurial motivation, and how these factors influence business decision making and business process performance at Greater Amman Municipality.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of private university digital leadership and information system success models (system quality, information quality, service quality) on the satisfaction of e-learning users of agricultural students. This research method is a quantitative survey, and the number of research samples is 323 agricultural students who were selected by a random sampling system. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The analytical method used is SEM with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results show that the role of digital leadership had a significant positive effect on the three variables of the information system success model. Likewise, system quality, information quality, and service quality have a significant positive and significant effect on user satisfaction of e-learning systems. This finding can increase the exploration ability of agricultural students as users to obtain various agricultural information. This finding confirms previous studies which state that usage has a significant effect on user satisfaction. Suggestions for further research, in this study only involves a single student perspective. Future research is recommended to use the perspective of the organization/institution (e-learning system management unit), lecturers, and university employees and agricultural stakeholders.
