Abstract:
This paper explores the association between supplier management orientation (SMO), information integration (II), organizational culture (OC) and supplier delivery performance (SDP). A systematic questionnaire survey was employed to gather cross-sectional data from 403 manufacturing firms in Uganda's Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area were analyzed using SmartPLS 4. The study shows a full mediating role of OC in the relationship between SMO, II and SDP. A positively significant relationship was established between II and OC, and between OC and SDP. Also, the relationship between SMO and OC was positively significant. Whereas the effect of SMO, II, OC on SDP is significant, related literature remains limited. This signifies a deficiency in the current literature that necessitates additional research to investigate other external factors that substantially impact SDP. Managers need to nurture cultural qualities, like teamwork, openness, and responsiveness, that enhance employees to effectively interpret information and act in a coordinated manner. This study extends the Resource-Based View Theory to the SDP domain, by drawing insights on the mediating role of OC in the relationship between SMO and SDP.

Abstract:
This systematic literature review critically examines the application of the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory within Supply Chain Management (SCM) across various industries. Developed by Jay B. Barney in 1991, RBV posits that a firm's sustained competitive advantage is driven by its unique resources and capabilities that are valuable, rare, inimitable, and non-substitutable. RBV suggests that a company’s long-term competitive advantage stems from its distinct resources and capabilities, which are valuable, rare, difficult to imitate, and not easily substitutable. Despite extensive utilization in strategic management, the direct application of RBV in SCM has been less explored, particularly in understanding how specific internal resources enhance SCM capabilities and outcomes. The review adopts a systematic approach, analyzing 97 peer-reviewed articles from diverse journals. This method includes a comprehensive search and evaluation process, ensuring the inclusion of significant studies that discuss the application of RBV in SCM across various industries. The articles were sourced from Scopus databases, with keywords related to RBV and SCM to ensure thorough topic coverage. The findings indicate a pronounced increase in related publications since 2010, reflecting a growing scholarly and practical interest in RBV’s application to SCM. The findings revealed that emerging trends like integrating advanced technologies like Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things are identified as strategic resources that redefine competitive landscapes by enhancing transparency, responsiveness and responsiveness within supply chains. The review also highlights the increasing importance of sustainability practices within SCM, aligning with RBV to potentially offer a sustainable competitive advantage. Conclusively, this review contributes to both academic knowledge and guides practitioners toward leveraging internal resources strategically to navigate contemporary challenges, setting a foundation for future inquiries into global supply chain resilience and dynamic capabilities.

Abstract:
This paper seeks to examine the relationship between determinants of blood transfusion sustainability (BTS) that is master production scheduling (MPS) and total quality management (TQM) of Uganda. The study was founded on four objectives. The study looked at the direct relationship between MPS and the BTS, direct relationship between MPS and TQM, direct relationship between TQM and BTS. It also assessed how TQM mediated the direct relationship between MPS and BTS. The study used a quantitative method. A survey questionnaire was administered to collect data from 367 staff of regional blood banks and government university teaching hospital blood banks; and 213 were found to be usable. The main analysis was done using structural equation modeling. The study found that MPS had a positive and significant relationship with the BTS. The study found that the relationship between MPS and TQM was positive and significant. The study also found that the relationship between TQM and BTS was positive and significant. The study concluded that the effect of MPS on BTS was not mediated by TQM. It was recommended that blood banks seeking to achieve transfusion sustainability must invest in understanding the sector in which they operate. This includes understanding the blood demand requirement, customer focus, people involvement and timely delivery. The various stakeholders in the blood supply chain i.e. blood banks, hospital blood banks, funding agents, ministry of health, must also integrate to enhance the transfusion sustainability. Blood banks performance measures essentially timely delivery was very critical for saving lives of patients in need of blood. The study has provided a new conceptual framework that investigates the TQM mediating effect on the relationship of MPS and BTS, and thus can serve as an incentive for more research to be conducted in this regard in blood banks of different developing countries. The authors also proposed identifying the effect of other TQM factors such as process management, system management, supplier relationship and top management on BTS.

Abstract:
The study sought to find out the effect of Technological Readiness Index (TRI) on the adoption of the inDubai application by potential tourists to Dubai. The finding showed a distinct relationship between TRI dimensions and the intention to make use of the inDubai mobile application. The findings of the study further proved that the TRI model as developed by Parasuraman can indeed prove the intention of individuals to adopt a new technology. The study showed that if the first two dimensions (Optimism and Innovation) are present, then a traveler will most likely see the perceived benefits of using the product or technology which in turn will lead to a positive intention to adopt such a technology. The findings also showed that if the last two dimensions (Insecurity and Discomfort) are present then such individuals exhibiting these behaviors are less likely to want to adopt this new technology. This implies that applications like the inDubai application and other similar applications need to address issues that lead to insecurity and discomfort among users if they are to attract a lot of adopters.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships of master production scheduling (MPS), total quality management (TQM), blood production (BP) and blood transfusion sustainability in the blood bank sector of Uganda. This study considers MPS as an independent variable and examines its relationship with BTS through TQM and BP. Based on the dynamic capability theory, this study concurrently incorporates and considers TQM and BP as independent and serial mediators. Data was collected from 213 blood bank respondents using a self-administered questionnaire. Random simple sampling was used to draw the sample. SEM approach was used in the study to assess the model. The major findings are positive total effect relationship between MPS and BTS; BP was found to be an independent mediator, TQM was found not to be an independent mediator, and TQM and BP mediated the MPS and BTS relationship serially. The findings suggest that MPS is related to BTS through a serial mediation model with two mediators. Therefore, blood banks in Uganda need to pay attention to develop and maintain a better MPS program so that positive perceptions of blood transfusion can be attained. Future research should investigate the mediating effect of other TQM and BP dimensions in the link between MPS and BTS in other countries.

Abstract:
This study aims to examine total quality management, regulation, and blood production relationships of blood banks in Uganda. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 146 randomly selected respondents. The model was validated using Smart PLS-SEM analysis. The findings indicate that both total quality management and regulation have a significant and positive influence on blood production, accounting for a 17.8% variation at a 95% confidence interval. Regulation exhibited no mediation effect in the relationship between total quality management and blood production. Total quality management and regulation are essential factors enhancing blood production. Prioritizing total quality management practices in areas such as determining and meeting customer needs; customer and employee satisfaction surveys; and market research can optimize blood production. This study contributes to the blood bank management knowledge body and identifies areas to support blood production. Blood bank managers can apply these insights to improve operational performance.
