Authors: Sofiane Laradi, Amina Elfekair, Belal Shneikat

DOI: 10.5267/j.uscm.2024.5.026

Keywords: Sustainability, Digital leadership, Green Innovation

Abstract:
The increasing complexities posed by green organizational challenges and technological advancements require a thorough grasp of the vital capabilities needed to maintain the firm’s sustainable performance. This study aims to explore the associations of green technological innovation and management innovation to sustainable performance and estimate to what extent digital leadership moderates these associations. The resource-based view (RBV) and socio-technical system theory (STS) are leveraged to conceptualize the research model. By adopting a survey-based approach on data gathered from 419 manufacturing and service firms, the PLS-SEM is the statistical approach conducted to test the validity of predictions The outcomes demonstrated that green technological innovation, green management innovation, and digital leadership are positively linked to sustainable performance. Furthermore, higher digital leadership strengthens the linkage of green technology and management innovation to sustainable performance. The outcomes made a powerful contribution to the current literature on green innovations and digital transformation, and substantial recommendations were inferred for organizations aiming to achieve environmental, social, and economic performance.

The influences of Interest rate volatility on banking sector development: Evidence from cross countries in the MENA region Pages 443-454 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Hamed Ahmad Almahadin, Thair Kaddumi, Mohammad Sulieman Jaradat, Belal Shneikat, Mansour Alkhazaleh

DOI: 10.5267/j.dsl.2022.7.001

Keywords: Banking sector development, Interest rate volatility, Bounds testing, ARDL approach, Co-integration, Emerging market countries

Abstract:
This study investigates the dynamic relationship between a set of banking sector development indicators and interest rate volatility for 12 emerging market countries during the period of 1980-2019. For this purpose, the bounds testing within autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) methodology is employed. The empirical results reveal that the interest rate volatility has negative impacts on the majority of the banking sector development indicators which also play a significant role in dampening the banking sector development path in the long-run. These findings suggest that the banking sectors of emerging countries are vulnerable to interest rate risks. Thus, the results have important implications for policymakers to improve the banking system and to promote economic growth of emerging economies.

Authors: Belal Shneikat, Turki Al Masaeid, Rachid Alami, Sugandha Agarwal, Abdul Shakur Yamyogo Nasir

DOI: 10.5267/j.ijdns.2024.6.010

Keywords: Social media engagement, Information credibility, Enrollment intention, Student type, North Cyprus

Abstract:
Potential international students use social media platforms to acquire important information about schools and their brand reputations while making international higher education decisions. By means of a cross-sectional data from 384 international students at three universities in North Cyprus, the study aims to explore the relationship between social media engagement, information credibility and enrolment intention. Furthermore, if information credibility works as a mediator between social media engagement and enrollment intention, and the moderating role of student type. The study makes several contributions to the literature review and its recommendation helps top management at universities and policy makers in North Cyprus to pay attention to the role of social media in recruiting international students. The findings of this study indicate that credibility fully mediates the relationship between social media engagement and enrollment intention, but student type doesn’t moderate the relationship between information credibility and enrollment intention. The limitations and future studies are discussed in this study.
