This study examines the acceptance level of Accrual Accounting System (AAS) among the accountants in the public sector. Subsequently, this study examines whether the accountants’ acceptance level of AAS influences their motivation, job satisfaction and job performance. Using a cross sectional study via a questionnaire survey on 166 public sector accountants in the public sector, the study shows that the accountants accepted AAS. The study also shows that the acceptance of AAS among the accountants significantly influences their motivation, job satisfaction and job performance. Further analyses show that the accountants’ motivation to accept AAS significantly influences their job satisfaction and subsequently, job performance. The findings of this study indicates that acceptance of a technology could lead to positive attitude and ultimately, ensuring AAS implementation success in the public sector.

This study evaluates the technical efficiency, productivity change of financial companies listed in the Malaysian stock exchange (Bursa Malaysia) and examines the effects of productivity change on efficiency over the period 2007–2016. Moreover, this study also concentrates on the ranking of financial companies according to their efficiency scores. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is uti-lized on a Malmquist Productivity Index in order to calculate the financial companies’ efficiency scores. The results of this study show that some firms were fully efficient. The results implied that these companies were in optimal control of their inputs or resources to generate the maximum outputs. Also, the results indicate a tremendous productivity gain was mostly because of a positive shift in frontier technology and positive shift in technical efficiency. This study is significant because it helps to identify the efficient companies from the financial sector in Malaysia based on multiple inputs and outputs by using the DEA model. Common misspecification problems observed that instability of efficiency scores over productivity.

The growth of digital technologies has changed the way of doing financial transactions. Even though the transaction value for financial technology in 2018 grew by 24%, the financial inclusion rate in Indonesia is still low, with 64% unbanked. The aim of the study was to analyze the factors of the growing digital technology that influence customer decisions in choosing financial technology services using customer knowledge as the intervening variable. The growing digital technology is measured using social networking, regulatory services, and financial service facilities variables. The sample of this research focused on the microsegment customers located in Java Island. Statistical data are analyzed using Algorithm PLS. Results show that customer decision in choosing financial technology services was strongly influenced by customer knowledge. Customer knowledge was formed from information gathered from the social network, the formal assurance by the government, the financial service facilities, and financial inclusivity. The study recommends a need to educate, promote, and provide adequate information to increase familiarity and literacy rate with regard to financial technology. The study also recommends an urgent clear government regulation to protect the interests of customers and industries.
