A state-of-art review on supplier selection problem Pages 59-70 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Tahereh Khodadadzadeh, Seyed Jafar Sadjadi

DOI: 10.5267/j.dsl.2013.03.001

Keywords: Data envelopment analysis, Multiple criteria decision making, Supplier selection

Abstract:
Many supplier selection problems are involved with various criteria such as quality of supplier, price, delivery time, etc. This paper presents a survey on the implementation of using different multi criteria decision making (MCDM) methods for supplier selection problems. The reviews covers recent advances of MCDM techniques such as data envelopment analysis (DEA), analytical hierarchy process, etc. over the period 2000-2012. The review also reveals that nearly 60% of the applications are associated with business unit, 15% is related to economy, 9% is devoted to service and development and 8% is dedicated to research and development. In our survey, DEA has become the most popular technique for supplier selection problem followed by Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).

A state-of-art review on activity-based costing Pages 89-94 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Tahereh Khodadadzadeh

DOI: 10.5267/j.ac.2015.12.001

Keywords: Activity-based costing, Performance measurement, Time driven activity-based costing

Abstract:
Activity-based costing (ABC) is a method, which identifies activities in a firm and assigns the expenses of each activity with resources to all products and services based on the real consumption by each. This method allocates more overhead costs into direct expenses compared with conventional method. ABC method is normally used for costing as well as monitoring different activities, which involves tracing resource consumption. This paper presents a survey on advances of ABC based method. The study has discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the implementation of ABC based method in different industries. The survey also discusses recent advances on time driven ABC method in health care industries.

A methodology for outsourcing resources in reverse logistics using fuzzy TOPSIS and fuzzy linear programming Pages 107-114 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Sajad Mehri, Emad Roghanian, Tahereh Khodadadzadeh

DOI: 10.5267/j.uscm.2013.05.004

Keywords: Supply chain; Fuzzy linear programming; Fuzzy TOPSIS

Abstract:
One of the primary concerns on supply chain management is to select appropriate suppliers based on different criteria, which are often in serious conflict. In this paper, we present a fuzzy TOPSIS technique to prioritize suppliers on reverse logistic network based on different criteria and then the proposed model of this paper applies fuzzy linear programming technique to determine optimum order quantity associated with each supplier. There are three criteria associated with each supplier including technical skills, equipment and ability to analyze. The implementation of the proposed method has been demonstrated in case study.

Green building project management: obstacles and solutions for sustainable development Pages 21-26 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Tahereh Khodadadzadeh

DOI: 10.5267/j.jpm.2017.1.003

Keywords: Green building, Project management, Building sector

Abstract:
Building sector is considered as the biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions around the world. Being green, or sustainable, is one of primary issues coming from internal/ external driv-ers for construction and engineering firms. The green building practice extends and supplement the traditional building design perspectives including economy, utility, durability, and comfort. This paper presents a review on recent advances dedicated on different state-of-art articles in the area of green building. The paper raises serious concern to take the necessary actions for green building development.

Supplier selection under uncertainty: A case study of home appliances maker Pages 25-32 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Tahereh Khodadadzadeh, Reza Vadayeh Kheiri, seyed jafar Sadjadi

DOI: 10.5267/j.uscm.2013.05.002

Keywords: Supplier selection, Supply Chain Management, Goal programming, Fuzzy programming

Abstract:
Many supply chain problems are involved with different parameters, which are under uncertainties. One of the primary concerns on supplier selection is to handle the uncertainty under different circumstances. The primary objective of this paper is to design a model to select suppliers and to determine the amount of purchase from any supplier in the supply chain system. For this purpose, we select the most important criteria using fuzzy questionnaires where the questionnaire uses experts’ opinions in terms of linguistic values. Then, a hierarchy multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) model based on fuzzy-sets theory is proposed to rank different suppliers and using a goal programming approach, we determine the amount of order product from each supplier. The implementation of the proposed model is demonstrated using a real-world case study.
