Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between zakat collection and distribution as core supply chain perspective for their economic impact in the region of Indonesia. The study collects the necessary data from various respondents who are paying zakat and interacting with various collections and distribution centers of zakat. A sample of 362 respondents is finally observed for descriptive, correlational and regression analysis. It is observed that both collection and distribution of zakat are core indicators in terms of supply chain with their economic outcomes. More specifically, zakat collection and distribution have positive impacts on equal distribution of wealth, cleanliness of wealth, economic growth, provision of educational facilities to needy students, and delivery of good health facilities in Indonesia. In addition, it is also found that more collection and distribution centers can lead to better economic output in the economy, where the role of mosques and Muslim community center is very important. Besides, some limitations in the current research need to be readdressed in future. First, the study has provided a limited context of zakat collection and distribution which could be expanded while adding the latest policies being adopted by the local government and their economic impact. Second, future studies could be reconsidered through getting the significant responses from those who are directly linked to the collection and distribution of zakat as they have much more body of knowledge about their economic implications. , Pages: 635-664 Noppasorn Sutthibutr and Navee Chiadamrong ![]() |
||
Abstract: This study considers a supply chain master planning problem in an uncertain environment where operating costs, customer demand, production capacity, manufacturer’s acceptable defective rate, and manufacturer’s acceptable service level are uncertain. Our supply chain consists of one manufacturer, multiple suppliers, and multiple distribution centers. While one objective is to minimize the total costs of logistics that consists of purchasing cost, production cost, and distribution cost, the other objective is to maximize total value of purchasing. These objectives are in conflict with each other. In this paper, the fuzzy multi-objective linear model is applied with α-Cut analysis to achieve the optimal supply chain master planning in an uncertain environment by balancing these two conflicting objectives. The α-Cut analysis is introduced to ensure decision-makers that the outcome satisfies their preferences based on a specified minimum allowed satisfaction value (α). Abstract: The primary objective of this study is to find the role of different policies on supply chain performance (SCP). To achieve this objective, quality assurance policies (QAP) and continuous process improvement (CPI) are selected as independent variables. Additionally, the moderating effects of environmental regulations and policy (ERP) are examined between various policies and SCP. ERP is taken as moderating variable because the role of ERP in logistics is crucial. Logistics transport has serious effect on environment due to the emission of CO2. Primary data are collected from supply chain companies of Indonesia. Three hundred questionnaires are used in this study and they are analyzed through statistical tests. Conclusion of the study shows that QAP and CPI had major role in SCP. Better implementation of QAP and CPI increase the SCP among Indonesian supply chain companies. Moreover, ERP is a moderating variable between the relationship of QAP and CPI and SCP. Therefore, Indonesian supply chain companies should enhance the policies related to quality assurance, process improvement and environmental policies to enhance SCP.
