, Pages: 31-40 Juliza Hidayati, Rini Vamelia, Jihaad Hammami and Endri Endri PDF (360K) |
Abstract: Halal food is food whose halal status is regulated by sharia institutions such as LPPOM MUI which is set by the government. The halal status of food must be traced from the process of raw materials, processing, packaging, transportation, and distribution to the final consumer. It is difficult to trace the certainty of halal food, especially beef in Medan City because the supply chain information from upstream to downstream is not transparent. To increase the transparency of beef status and increase consumer confidence, especially Muslim consumers, a distributed and transparent system is needed, where many parties can access the status of food at any time. So Blockchain technology is used to help track the halal status of beef along the supply chain. The purpose of this study is to design a system to obtain information certainty that beef distributed along the supply chain is halal and safe for consumption by utilizing Blockchain technology and to increase public safety and trust in the LPPOM MUI halal certification system. Based on the discussion and research analysis, it is known that the information in the halal beef supply chain in Medan City uses blockchain technology designed with a data security system using smart contracts, where information that has been stored cannot be changed by any party. so that there is a guarantee of information security in the beef supply chain in the city of Medan. This research is expected to support transparency, security, and certainty of information about halal beef in Medan City. Replenishment-shipment decision for a multiproduct producer-client coordinated FPR model with postponement, rework and subcontracting
, Pages: 213-226 Yuan-Shyi Peter Chiu, Ting-Fang Yan, Yunsen Wang and Hui-Chi Wang PDF (360K) |
Abstract: This research constructs a mathematical scheme to explore replenishment-shipment decisions for a multiproduct producer-client coordinated finite production rate (FPR) model with the postponement, rework, and subcontracting plan. The considered multiple goods have a common component, and a batch FPR fabrication with postponement is planned to meet the annual multiproduct requirements. The first fabricating phase makes only the standard components needed for a batch and subcontracts a proportion of them (with additional cost) to expedite the process. In contrast, the second fabricating phase produces the finished multiple merchandise in sequence. The in-house rework processes with extra expense help retain the desirable quality. Each merchandise’s finished batch is transported to the clients in equal-sized numerous shipments. Abstract: The continuity of the organization was disrupted when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world in early 2020, and many organizations were forced to adapt to emergencies. Programs that have been developed for the long term must be modified to suit the situation. This paper aims to evaluate the impact of the pandemic and analyze the ongoing impact of transformational leadership on the distribution of organizational performance mediated by organizational learning, total quality management and quality assurance, and altruism as moderating variables. The study was conducted by using Partial Least Square to analyze the behavior of the highest leadership of the Child Welfare Institution (CWI) of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, with a sample of 185 accredited institutions throughout Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that several factors affect the process of evaluating organizational performance. The LKSAs need to improve the quality of their organization's performance by following the requirements of the Ministry of Social Affairs consistently and continuously in implementing the fulfillment of the quality standards. The contribution of novelty in this study is that the total quality management variable is not able to improve organizational performance. The surprising finding is that the consistency of the distribution of total quality management implementation has no effect when the highest leadership is unable to carry out the sustainability of the standards that have been painstakingly prepared long before the pandemic occurred. However, the quality assurance can increase the distribution of organizational performance substantially. Abstract: The study aimed to perform a further analysis of the society’s awareness towards the natural environment, especially the awareness of having a healthy life, which leads them to have an awareness to use a natural-based product (environmentally friendly product). Furthermore, this awareness acts as a guidance for them to become consumers who care about their environment and also the material logistics management of each company to build a good customer relationship management with their customer. Along with this phenomenon, however, several reasons regarding the increase of environmentally friendly product consumption are unknown. This study focused on antecedents generating green purchase behavior, namely, social influence, green attitude, green value, and green trust. The approach applied in the study was a purposive sampling method with the 450 respondents in all over Bali. The finding showed that the social influence did not significantly impact the green purchase behavior. On the other hand, green attitude, green value, and green trust brought a positive and significant impact toward green purchase behavior. Social influence, green attitude, and green value influenced positively and significantly toward green trust. Green trust played a role as the relationship mediator of social influence, green attitude, and green value on green purchase behavior. The study was limited as it belonged to cross-sectional and longitudinal study, and it needed a lengthy period to validate the finding. It only accommodated the consumer’s green purchase behavior in Bali. Hence, it cannot be generalized; however, it can be developed in another area. Moreover, the practical implication for the producers of the environmentally friendly product is that they can be more attentive to certain variables that generate the green purchase behavior. The authenticity of the study is that the social influence does not influence the green purchase behavior toward the society in Bali. Furthermore, this study supports the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) particularly in marketing the green product. The study is a more completed model development of the green purchase behavior. Furthermore, the variable in this study is worth considering in developing the environmentally friendly product. Abstract: Globalization has made exports an important activity for several companies including the growing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This is observed in the wood craft SMEs which is one of the main pillars supporting the Balinese economy when the tourism sector experienced a decline during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important to note that innovation capability is a special asset for SME to increase exports, especially when the products have value and advantages. Therefore, this study analyzed value creation through the adoption of the Service-Dominant Logic (SDL) theory which was manifested in the aesthetic-utilitarian value variable. The study population includes all the 242 woodcraft SMEs in Bali while the samples were selected using the census method and the data obtained were analyzed through the partial least squares technique. The results showed that innovation capability has a positive effect on export performance, aesthetic-utilitarian value, and positional advantage. Moreover, aesthetic-utilitarian value and positional advantage were discovered to have a positive influence on export performance and also partially mediated the relationship between innovation capability and export performance. This implies SMEs need to develop high innovation capabilities to ensure their products are superior to those of their competitors. Furthermore, the value offered also needs to be unique and in line with customer needs. Abstract: The performance plays a key role in the long-term survival of the organizations. If the performance of the organization increases, then the organization may lead in the global perspective. There are various factors that could lead to the performance. Among those, the supply chain management practices (SCMP) play an important role to increase the performance. The SCMP factors may also enhance the competitive advantage of the organizations. Furthermore, the manager support may provide insight to manage the SCM activities which could aid enhance firm performance (FP). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the SCMP and FP with the moderating and mediating effect in the chemical industry of Thailand. The data was collected from the supply chain managers by using a simple random technique. The SEM direct effect shows that SCMA had a significant and positive connection with firm performance FP. In addition, SCMP does not seem to have any significant relationship with the competitive advantage. While competitive advantage has a positive and significant effect on FP. On the other hand, the indirect effect shows that SCMP and FP relationship were partially mediated from the competitive advantage. Moreover, the manager's support did not significantly moderate the SCMP and FP relationship. The current study added literature in the extant literature in the form of empirical findings which could help the researchers explore their studies in future. The study may also provide help to owners as well as to shareholders to know about the importance of the SCMP, competitive advantage and managers' support to increase their FP.
