Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships of master production scheduling (MPS), total quality management (TQM), blood production (BP) and blood transfusion sustainability in the blood bank sector of Uganda. This study considers MPS as an independent variable and examines its relationship with BTS through TQM and BP. Based on the dynamic capability theory, this study concurrently incorporates and considers TQM and BP as independent and serial mediators. Data was collected from 213 blood bank respondents using a self-administered questionnaire. Random simple sampling was used to draw the sample. SEM approach was used in the study to assess the model. The major findings are positive total effect relationship between MPS and BTS; BP was found to be an independent mediator, TQM was found not to be an independent mediator, and TQM and BP mediated the MPS and BTS relationship serially. The findings suggest that MPS is related to BTS through a serial mediation model with two mediators. Therefore, blood banks in Uganda need to pay attention to develop and maintain a better MPS program so that positive perceptions of blood transfusion can be attained. Future research should investigate the mediating effect of other TQM and BP dimensions in the link between MPS and BTS in other countries. Abstract: This research aims to examine the influence of top management commitment on the operational performance through the mediating role of the green purchasing and ISO 14000 implementation. This study used a quantitative approach and collected data by distributing 70 questionnaires to textile companies located in the Central Java region, Indonesia. One respondent from the top management level, a manager or general manager represented each company. Off the 70, 48 questionnaires were returned and completed correctly. Data analysis used a partial least square (PLS) technique with SmartPLS software version 3.0. The results show that top management commitment has a significant influence on green purchasing, ISO 14000 implementation, and operational performance directly. The results also show that top management commitment also influences the operational performance through the mediating role of the green purchasing and the ISO 14000 implementation. Additional findings indicate that top management commitment contributes more influence on the operational performance through the mediating role of the green purchasing and the ISO1400 implementation than its direct influence. This study contributes to the current theory on supply chain management and paves the way for the practitioner in enhancing the operational performance of the textile industry. Abstract: Loading and unloading operations for Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) in warehouses are critical to logistics management systems. However, these operations also have a significant impact on the environment, particularly in terms of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. As such, warehouse management must consider not only operational efficiency but also environmental impact. The reduction of CO2 emissions in warehouses is becoming increasingly important, both for legal compliance and to meet sustainability targets. In this article, we will emphasize the environmental impact of warehouse operations, particularly on CO2 emissions, and explore ways to minimize them while still maximizing warehouse performance. We will review various optimization models proposed to address this issue and highlight the importance of considering environmental objectives when designing warehouse operations. We will also describe a simulation study conducted to determine the Pareto optimal frontier for a warehouse design, considering transportation, space utilization, and CO2 emissions. The outcomes of implementing this simulation's results include reduced CO2 emissions and increased space utilization, which demonstrate the potential benefits of considering environmental objectives in warehouse design and management.
