Keywords: Rural economy, Marketing of agricultural products, BUMDes, MSMEs

Abstract:
A region’s economic growth depends on the development policies based on the wealth determined from the potential of human, institutional and local resources. Furthermore, tThe development needs to link primary sectors with future processing to increase agricultural products’ added value and marketing competitiveness. This study develops an innovative marketing model in agricultural products for small-scale farmers through village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) empowerment in coastal areas. One way of realizing this program is by building agribusiness and agro-industry partnerships that are well-planned and associated with other economic sectors' development. The partnership involves community economic institutions, including BUMDes, credit institutions, farmer entrepreneurs, as well as Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. BUMDes is a rural-based business with a legal entity managed by the village government to create added value for the community’s agricultural products. Together with MSMEs, these businesses need to support the agribusiness subsystem's development, including trading in agricultural production facilities and business activities. Furthermore, they need to promote agricultural production, support services, a source of market information for rural communities, the main actors of appropriate technology for agricultural products.

Abstract:
In a complex digital era, innovative supply chain management is the key to success in overcoming logistical challenges. By implementing the latest technology, adopting innovative strategies, and managing risk well, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) can improve supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. The main driver of innovation is leadership in the supply chain. The supply chain network views transformational leadership and innovation as a source of competitive advantage. This study attempts to examine the direct and indirect relationship between supply chain transformational leadership, supply chain innovation performance, and satisfaction with supply chain outcomes. The main objective of this study is to analyze the mediating effect of supply chain innovation performance on the effect of supply chain transformational leadership on supply chain outcomes. The study uses structural equation modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0 software where primary data are obtained through a survey by distributing questionnaires. Respondents from this study were 507 leaders of MSMEs who were included in the purposive sampling criteria. The results of the instrument scale test used in this study met the standards of validity and reliability analysis. The results of the regression analysis of this study indicate that supply chain transformational leadership had a significant and positive effect on satisfaction of supply chain outcomes. Supply chain transformational leadership also maintained a significant and positive effect on supply chain innovation performance. Moreover, supply chain innovation performance provided a significant and positive effect on supply chain outcomes. The impact of financial intermediation by BPRs, commercial banks, and fintech P2P lending on per capita consumption, MSME production, and GRDP in Indonesia Pages 163-178 Right click to download the paper Download PDF

Authors: Rino Dwi Putra, Haryanto Haryanto, Nelvirita Nelvirita, Ridha Azka Raga, Dian Indah Hayati, Halkadri Fitra

DOI: 10.5267/j.ijdns.2025.10.005

Keywords: Financial intermediation, Digital finance, Fintech P2P lending, MSMEs, GRDP

Abstract:
We investigate how financial intermediation by rural banks (BPRs), commercial banks, and fintech P2P lending influences per-capita household consumption, MSME production, and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) across Indonesia’s 34 provinces during 2022–2024 (N = 102). Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS with bootstrapped inference, we estimate a system of simultaneous equations that captures both direct and indirect (mediated) pathways from each intermediation channel to regional output. Results show that BPR intermediation (X₁) and commercial-bank intermediation (X₂) significantly and positively affect MSME production (H4 and H5 supported; p < 0.05), whereas fintech P2P lending (X₃) does not (H6 rejected; p = 0.161). Fintech P2P lending positively influences per-capita consumption (H3 supported at the 90% level; p ≈ 0.078), while BPR and commercial-bank intermediation have no significant effect (H1 and H2 rejected). MSME production strongly enhances GRDP (H7 supported; p < 0.01), and consumption is positively associated with GRDP at the 90% level (H8 supported; p ≈ 0.085). Direct paths from intermediation to GRDP (H9–H11) are not significant, supporting a mediated mechanism: BPRs and commercial banks primarily operate through MSME production, while fintech channels influence GRDP via consumption. Model fit is acceptable (SRMR = 0.091), although some covariance-fit indices are weak (discussed in the manuscript), so inference relies on bootstrapped path estimates and mediation diagnostics. Policy implications suggest regulators should reinforce BPR and commercial-bank support for MSME financing, while guiding fintech to expand safe consumer access that enhances household purchasing power without introducing systemic risks.

Authors: Abdul Razak Munir, Dessy Kurnia Sari, Rita Komaladewi, Bader Albatati, Andi Syahida Ulhaq Pasryb

DOI: 10.5267/j.ijdns.2025.8.001

Keywords: Digital transformation, Repurchase intention, Social media, MSMEs, Food platform customers

Abstract:
Advancements in social media marketing have fundamentally transformed how companies engage with consumers. However, its impact on customer repurchase intention, particularly through emotional brand connections, remains insufficiently explored. This study investigates the impact of social media marketing on repurchase intention by examining the mediating role of Brand Resonance Value. A quantitative method was used by distributing surveys to 230 users of digital food platforms in Makassar. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to assess the relationships among social media marketing, Brand Resonance Value, and repurchase intention. The findings indicate that social media marketing significantly enhances both Brand Resonance Value and customers' intention to repurchase. Furthermore, Brand Resonance Value serves as a critical mediating factor that links social media marketing efforts to customer loyalty. These results underscore the importance of businesses designing social media strategies that not only capture consumer attention but also foster deep emotional bonds with their brands. Strengthening Brand Resonance Value through digital engagement can thus play a pivotal role in sustaining long-term customer relationships and driving repeat purchases.

Authors: Sri Dewi Wahyundaru, Windhu Putra, Mukti Wibowo, Elvia Ivada, Preatmi Nurastuti, Cornelius Damar Sasongko, Moh. Miftachul Choiri, Dwi Yuzaria

DOI: 10.5267/j.ijdns.2024.4.013

Keywords: e-commerce, Financial literacy, Performance, MSMEs, PLS-SEM

Abstract:
In recent years, E-Commerce has experienced a very significant increase. E-commerce provides a broad overview of technology, processes and practices that can be carried out without using paper as a means of transactions. E-commerce can be a solution to the paper waste problem which is an environmental issue that can lead to social problems. Thus, e-commerce has a vital role in achieving business sustainability performance. E-commerce has had a big influence on the social and economic growth of today's society. Business management's ability to manage financial information is an important indicator in influencing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises’ (MSME's) business performance. Good managements’ financial literacy equips MSMEs with knowledge and skill empowering MSMEs to make informed financial decisions, manage resources effectively and promote sustainable development. This research aims to analyze the relationship between E-Commerce and the sustainability performance of MSMEs and analyze the relationship between financial literacy and its positive and significant relationship with the sustainability performance of MSMEs. The research method uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population in this research are MSMEs managers in Indonesia who have comprehensive knowledge regarding the operations and performance of MSMEs. In this study, researchers used a simple random sampling technique with a sample size of 478 MSME managers. Data analysis in this research uses the Partial Least Square (PLS) technique which is an alternative method based on the variance of the variables used. The stages of data analysis are validity testing, reliability testing and hypothesis testing. The independent variables in this research are e-commerce and financial literacy, while the dependent variable is MSME sustainability performance. The results of this research show that e-commerce has a positive and significant relationship with MSME sustainability performance and financial literacy has a positive and significant relationship to MSME sustainability performance. In addition, e-commerce has a significant influence on the sustainability performance of MSMEs because the presence of e-commerce is one of the marketing alternatives used to reach more vendors and customers which can change the supply chain leads to social problem solution such as food distribution. Further, e-commerce may minimize traveling long distances for shopping resulting to the carbon footprint reduction. MSMEs have the same opportunity to use e-commerce as an alternative to maximize performance. However, not all MSMEs have the capability to use and utilize e-commerce optimally. After all, knowing good financial management will make it easier to make sustainable decisions since the higher the level of financial literacy, the MSME players can optimize their sustainability performance.
