Abstract:
On the base of 3-formylpicolinic acid by two successive heterocyclizations (the formation of a pyrone fragment by the cyclization of chloroacetone with the carboxyl and formyl groups; and the construction of the thiazole cycle through the bromination of the acetyl fragment and following interaction with thioamides), 6-(2-(phenyl/thiophen-2-yl)thiazole-4-yl)-8H-pyrano[3,4-b]pyridin-8-ones were obtained; and then the pyrone fragment was converted to pyridone by the action of ammonia under high pressure. When such 6-(2-R-thiazol-4-yl)-1,7-naphthyridin-8(7H)-ones reacted with triflic anhydride, O-sulfonylation of the pyridone fragment occurred, after that triflate group was easily substituted by secondary cyclic aliphatic amines. Thus, a number of new 8-amino-6-(2-R-thiazol-4-yl)-1,7-naphthyridines โ€“ previously inaccessible heterocyclic derivatives with promising biological activity โ€“ were obtained.

Abstract:
The new fully substituted (1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)acetic acids were synthesized from available precursors (1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)ethanones and 1ะ-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxylic acids, which are easily prepared by the Dimroth reaction from azides and 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds. The practical methods of homologization (the Arndtโ€“Eistert reaction and homologization as a result of nucleophilic substitution by cyanide anion) and the Willgerodt-Kindler reaction were compared. The Willgerodt-Kindler method starting from (5-methyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)ethanones was selected as the most convenient method for the synthesis of 2-(1-aryl-5-methyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)acetic acids, which are promising building blocks for drug discovery. Additionally, (1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)ethanones were studied for the synthesis of alcohols, amines and in the Johnsonโ€“Coreyโ€“Chaykovsky reaction.

Abstract:
A new method of amidation of Carboxy Multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT-COOH) with diamine monomer such as ethylene diamine (EDA) and O-Phenylenediamine (OPDA) was applied by using a solution blending technique. The structure and properties of these composites have been investigated by FTIR, SEM, TEM, XRD, UV, DSC and TGA. The formation of Poly [MWCNT/ Amide] composites was confirmed and the DC electrical conductivity of poly-composites was in the range 4.5ร—10-6-5.3ร—10-6 S/cm due to the interaction between the nanotubes.

Abstract:
HDPE was functionalized with two different esters in an inert atmosphere at 160ยฐC, under different experimental conditions by thermolysis method. The order of the functionalization and crosslinking reactions was determined. The C=C formation peak is assigned at 1610 cm-1.The percentage of functionalization was determined by FTIR spectroscopy method. Thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetric methods were also used to study about the thermal properties of the functionalized HDPE.
