Keywords: Ecotourism, Mangrove forest, Community participation, Mangrove-based product, Sustainability

Abstract:
Bali is a world tourist destination that is famous for having various types of interesting maritime tourism, including mangrove areas which are typical of equatorial regions. The purpose of this study is to develop a model that can predict the sustainability of ecotourism in the mangrove area in Bali based on the approach of empowering local potential and empowering the community. Data analysis was carried out using Bayesian Network analysis, where input was based on the results of the FGD. The results show high probability of realizing the sustainability of ecotourism, where the most influential variables are community participation and local product developers or mangrove-based products. In addition, the condition of the mangrove forest also needs attention, considering that the sustainability of mangrove ecotourism is very sensitive to changes in the condition of the mangrove forest. The three main variables have reflected the combination of the three elements of sustainability, namely people-social (community participation), planet-environment (mangrove forest condition), and profit-economic (developing of mangrove-based products). Mangrove ecotourism development in Bali should be focused on increasing community participation and the development of mangrove-based products.

Keywords: AI, Urban forest management strategy, Ecotourism

Abstract:
Urban forest management has a strategic role in maintaining ecosystem balance and supporting the quality of life of urban communities. Urban forests provide various ecosystem services, such as providing clean air, temperature regulation, carbon storage, and being a habitat for biodiversity. In the midst of increasing urbanization and climate change, the existence of urban forests is increasingly important to support environmental sustainability. However, public awareness of the importance of urban forests and the ecosystem benefits they provide is often inadequate. This is a challenge in efforts to conserve and develop urban forests as an integral part of the urban environment. Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan, the Himba Kabui ecotourism program has been launched as an initiative to increase public awareness of urban forests and the ecosystem benefits, they provide. This research aims to analyze the role of stakeholders and artificial intelligence (AI)-based urban forest management strategies in improving public awareness of urban forest ecosystem services and their impact on the success of the Himba Kabui ecotourism program in Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan. Stakeholders involved include government, local communities, the private sector, and academia, each of which has an important role in the implementation and development of this program. The use of AI in urban forest management offers various innovations in monitoring, decision making, and conveying information to the public. This study found that the integration of AI technology was able to accelerate increasing public awareness of the importance of urban forests as providers of ecosystem services, such as providing clean air, climate regulation and biodiversity habitat. Additionally, this increased awareness contributes significantly to the success of the Himba Kabui ecotourism program, which aims to promote sustainable tourism and environmental conservation in the region. This research provides the implication that synergy between stakeholders and AI technology can become an effective and sustainable urban forest management model, which not only has a positive impact on the environment but also on the local economy through increasing tourism. It is hoped that these findings can become a reference for urban forest managers and policy makers in developing innovative and participatory environmental management strategies.

Keywords: Ecotourism, Electronic commerce, Hospitality industry, Nature tourism, Online marketing, Tourism industry, Tourism marketing, Travel agents

Abstract:
This study intends to evaluate the impacts of implementing online marketing strategies on Iranian ecotourism industry. The study had eight hypotheses which were designed based on economic, sociological, and cultural aspects of Iranian ecotourism industry. The results indicate that the expansion of online marketing increased the number of foreign tourists who visited Iran’s natural tourist attractions, while it had no significant impact on the number of domestic tourists who visited these tourist attractions. The results also indicated that online marketing did not increase the amount of investment in Iranian ecotourism industry. Additionally, online ecotourism marketing did not have a significant influence on the total number of travels to Iran’s historical tourist attractions. Respondents believe implementing online marketing strategies in Iranian ecotourism industry helps Iran expand its cultural tourism in rural areas and it expands its hospitality industry; they also believe that online marketing helps to create more jobs in Iranian ecotourism industry and to improve working conditions in this industry.

Authors: Omid Mobaraki, Mahdi Abdollahzadeh, Zahra Kamelifar

Keywords: Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Ecotourism, Geographic Information System (GIS), Isfahan Township

Abstract:
Ecotourism, as a multibillion dollars business, is an industry with high potentials for economic competition. One of the proper solutions for developing ecotourism is better identification of different regions where there is a tourism capacity and accurate planning for performing feasibility study of those regions in terms of attracting ecotourism as well as creating infrastructures in those regions. This paper evaluates capacities and power of tourism as well as nature tourism in Isfahan Township using Geographic Information System and Analytical Hierarchy Process. The present research is applied and research method is descriptive-analytical. Meanwhile, to analyze data, Arc GIS is used. Findings indicate that regarding the map of ecotourism capacity of Isfahan townships, resulted from combining various climatologically, geological, hydrological, topological maps and access maps, the township is not homogeneous in terms of nature tourism and coastal parts of the township (regions around Zayand-e-Rood) have better condition than other parts and should be considered for tourism development planning.

Abstract:
Tourism industry plays an important role on developing economy especially in regions where there are different historical, landscape and other natural attractions. Bavan Valley located in Nur Abad Mamasani city in Iran is one of the well-known places among tourists. The region has outstanding natural landscapes, moderate weather especially in spring and summer, low distance from the major road locating between different local regions such as Fars, Bushehr, Khuzestan, and Kohkiluye Boyer Ahmad Province. These regions provide appropriate accessibility for the citizens of highly populated cities of this province and it plays essential role of a major attractive pole in southern part of the country. The primary objective of this research is to recognize the present barriers for attracting tourists and to analyze the tourists’ satisfactions associated with the facilities and tourist services. The statistical population of this research includes all the tourists of Bavan Valley in which 381 individuals were chosen as the sample of this research, using Cochran & apos; s formula. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between the absence of advertisement about Bavan Valley and the number of tourists in this zone (P & LT; 0.05). The findings also show that there is a significant relationship between lack of infrastructural equipments and un-development in tourism industry (P & LT; 0.05). Moreover, the findings of SWOT analysis indicates that 9 internal strength versus 10 internal weaknesses and 7 external chance versus 8 external threat were recognized and analyzed with regard to ecotourism in this zone. Thus, generally 16 strength and chances as the advantages and 18 weaknesses and threats as the obstacles about the Bavan Valley’s tourism were recognized in order to develop tourism.
