This study examines whether responsible innovation can be an important channel through which the corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy influences the competitive advantage of the firm. Specifically, we tried to test the role of firm size and activity sector as conditional factors in the mediation of responsible innovation between CSR strategy and the competitive advantage for the case of Saudi Arabia enterprises. Based on structural equation modelling (SEM), our results show that responsible innovation is a key element of the sustainable business model since it determines the success of CSR strategy in boosting the competitive advantage of firms. In this model, the mediation of responsible innovation is moderated differently by the firm size and the activity sector, and it is dependent on the choice between strategic or reactive CSR strategy. Within this context, we also find that the indirect effects of the CSR strategy on competitive advantage are moderated by the firm size in the case of reactive CSR, whereas by the activity sector in case of strategic CSR. The originality of this paper is that it examines whether the competitive advantage of firms in a developing country is more dependent on the reactive CSR strategy or the strategic CSR strategy. It also proposes an empirical investigation into the conditional factors of responsible innovation and their effects on the relationship between CSR strategy and competitive advantage.

The objective of the article is to evaluate the influence of green supply chain management on firm performance through a mediate variable which is competitive advantage and moderate variable which is supply chain integration. Research was conducted on 313 Vietnamese enterprises and the data analyzed by Smart PLS software shows that green supply chain management has a positive impact on firm performance. At the same time, competitive advantage and supply chain integration both have a statistically significant mediating and moderating role. The research results are meaningful for managers to come up with green supply chain integration policies and strategies to improve competitive advantage and firm performance.

This study aims to analyze the effect of supply chain management sustainability and organizational learning ability on company performance which is also measured by intervening variables of product design innovation and competitive advantage and moderated by environmental uncertainty. This study used a sample of 383 companies from a population of 5,495 in East Java Province, Indonesia. This study also uses a quantitative approach with more emphasis on social aspects with a deductive model. Some of the findings in this study are that there is no significant effect on company performance and organizational learning ability if mediated by product design innovation, even though this is very important for the company's progress in the future and proves that many companies in this province. have not fully implemented design innovation as a measure of the quality of the goods produced. And the second is that all the components of the variables analyzed produce significant values for all dependent variables so that the adjustment to the impact of the pandemic gets a good response from the industry that is working.

This study aims to examine the role of strategic agility to achieve competitiveness by analyzing the mediating effect of knowledge management construct in Jordanian’s public higher education institutions. The study reviewed the existing literature addressing the knowledge management and strategic features of the organizations. The resource‐based view theory is the lens of linking the knowledge management with strategic outcomes of the organizations. The hypothesized theoretical model was tested using a quantitative research method through questionnaire. A PLS-SEM approach was utilized to conduct the key analytical procedure and test the proposed research hypotheses. The results found a significant and positive effect of both strategic agility and knowledge management on achieving competitiveness. On the contrary, knowledge management showed no effect on competitiveness. But it had a mediation effect of the strategic agility on achieving competitiveness. Future research suggestions provided resulting from the research implications to provide different research methods and models.

The main objective of the current study is to investigate the impact of supplier relationship management and manufacturing flow management practices on the financial performance. Additionally, the study examines the mediating role of competitive advantage in the relationship between supplier relationship management and manufacturing flow management practices and financial performance. The firm’s growth is considered to have a significant influence by managing the supply base only rather than the complete performance. The important role of supply chain management has pointed out the requirement of the firm to efficiently develop the supply chain to get the maximum result in terms of its performance and business outcome. The production procedures include many functions inside the company and the further period of the producer in the supply chain. However, it depends upon the whole supply chain to develop a procedure of easy and all possible product movement, the same case occurred to gain the desirable flexibility.

The aim of the current study is to examine the effects of competitive advantage and digital marketing on tourism business performance (BP). The indirect effect of supply chain management (SCM) is also considered by the current study. Quantitative research approach is used and data collection is made through a survey instrument. 225 responses were received and used in data analysis to examine the relationship between variables. Five direct effect hypotheses and two indirect effect hypotheses are tested in this study. Smart PLS is used to test the direct and indirect relationship. It is found that; competitive advantage has a positive effect on BP. It also has a positive effect on SCM. Furthermore, digital marketing has a positive effect on BP. Similarly, digital marketing has a positive effect on SCM. Additionally, SCM is a mediating variable between competitive advantage and BP of the tourism industry.

The research studied the dynamics of the factors that determine competitiveness in the textile sector in Huancayo, Peru, given that in recent years it has been affected, with repercussions on profits, economic-financial stability, jobs, among others. Competitiveness is given by the interaction of various resources, actors and circumstances, which generate situations that could be auspicious or detrimental to the sector and other sectors. As a general perspective, Porter's Competitive Diamond Model and Action-Participatory Research have been used, combining scientific rigor with industrial practice. In applied research of non-experimental transactional design, an Attitude Scale was used as an instrument with 62 items and Likert-type answers, considering 7 latent variables. The methodological intervention was carried out on a sample of 75 sectoral experts. The factors that mainly determine the competitiveness of the textile sector are the structure, rivalry and strategy developed by the companies with a path coefficient of 0.812, the understanding of the behavior of the demand with a path value of 0.912 and the actions of the Government with an inverse relation of 0.824 for the respective path coefficient; while no relation has been established with the variable Integration or cluster.

This study develops a research framework to study the impact of green supply chains with three dimensions, namely green purchasing, green manufacturing, and green marketing to achieve competitive advantage with the existence of organizational ambidexterity as a mediating variable in Jordanian industrial companies. The study targeted the most important Jordanian industrial companies, which included 46 industrial companies out of 66 companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. The researchers personally administered 181 questionnaires, responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the appropriate statistical methods were chosen to test the hypotheses of the study and reach its results. The findings indicate that all elements of green supply chain management, namely green purchasing, green manufacturing, and green marketing had a significant impact on competitive advantage. Also, green manufacturing and green marketing had a significant effect on organizational ambidexterity, but there was no significant impact for green purchasing on organizational ambidexterity, finally, the results of the study showed that organizational ambidexterity plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between green manufacturing, green marketing, and competitive advantage.

This study examined the relationship among blockchain technology utilization, information sharing, supply chain flexibility, and competitive advantage in UAE financial institutions. For this purpose, a theoretical framework was examined regarding the relationship among blockchain technology utilization, information sharing, supply chain flexibility, and competitive advantage. Additionally, mediating effect of supply chain flexibility was also examined. This research is cross-sectional by design. The respondents collected the data in the form of questionnaires. The response rate of this study was 63.03%. The data collected was examined by Smart PLS. The study's findings confirm that supply chain flexibility is affected by blockchain technology and information technology, which affects the financial institutes' competitive advantage. The implications of these findings cannot be neglected in the financial industry.

This study analyzes the effects of intangible resources on competitive advantage in the banking sector of Nigeria. The marketing related, technological and structural dimensions of intangibles are employed while differentiation and cost leadership strategy are used as components of competitive advantage. The population of the study consists of bank employees of ten deposit money banks in Benin City, Nigeria. A sample size of 300 is adopted for this study. The instrument is a modified 35 item structured questionnaire previously validated by other studies. The study uses confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation technique to evaluate the validity of the measurement and structural model. The hypothesized relations are tested using regression analysis. The results confirm that marketing related, technological and structural categories of intangible resources promoted competitive advantage. It is recommended that bank management should promote the development of their intangible resources.
