Abstract:
With increasing concerns and challenges to climate change in recent years, green operations management (GOM) has gained significant attention from society for achieving sustainable growth. GOM is a set of practices that can be applied in production processes to produce goods with improved productivity and significantly reduced threats of carbon emission to the environment and Mother Nature. GOM mainly includes green manufacturing, green design, green logistics, and green purchases. In the paper, fuzzy best-worst method (FBWM) is used to determine the best and worst criteria affected by GOM practices. Thus, the paper attempts to explicitly analyze and highlight the significance of GOM in preserving the environment and manage the triple bottom line for achieving overall sustainable business operations.

Abstract:
Present research is aimed to analyze the performance factors of flexible manufacturing systems by combined decision-making methodologies like analytical hierarchy process (AHP), combinatorial mathematics-based approach (CMBA) and improved ELECTRE. Six variables affecting the three factors of performance of flexible manufacturing systems viz. productivity, flexibility and quality are considered for the evaluation of performance factors. The weights of the attributes are calculated with AHP and the index score is calculated with CMBA methodology. CMBA methodology is the fusion of AHP and GTMA. ELECTRE approach has been used for the outranking of factors. The results show that productivity had the maximum impact on the performance of manufacturing systems. A high Spearman’s rank correlation also exists among the methods used.

Abstract:
India has turned out to be one of the most favorite destinations for the patients who want to undertake cost effective medical care for various medical problems and who have infuriated from the long waiting lists for medical and diagnostic procedures in their home countries. This research aims to analyze different factors along with their intensity affecting medical tourism industry in a developing country like India so that managers and policymakers can take better decisions which will help in growth & promotion of Indian health tourism market. The study has been done by performing a cross-sectional survey within major hospitals in India and exploratory factor analysis and graph theory and matrix approach have been used to evaluate the intensity of variables affecting Indian medical tourism sector. Nineteen variables have been identified through review of literature, and four factors have been extracted including cost, quality of treatment and care, availability of experts, competitive advantage and political, legal and visa related factors. With the understanding of the intensity of different variables suitable precautions can be taken by the healthcare managers so that these variables can be handled very carefully.

Abstract:
Flexibility has been cited as a key factor to enhance the performance of flexible manufacturing sys-tem (FMS). The main aim of this paper is to rank the flexibility of FMS. The ranking decisions are complex in the manufacturing field to analyze a number of alternatives based on a set of some attributes. In this research, two MADM methods i.e. MOORA (i.e. multi-objective optimization on the basis of ratio analysis) and weighted Euclidean distance based approach (WEDBA) are used for ranking of flexibility in FMS for new part development. MOORA approach can give de-cision with or without considering relative importance of attributes i.e. attribute weights. While in WEDBA, integrated attribute weights are used for evaluation which included the subjective and objective weights of attributes. Objective weights are calculated by entropy method and subjective weights are calculated by analytic hierarchy process. MOORA is applied in two ways i.e. ratio based and reference point analysis. Ranking of fifteen flexibility of FMS done on the basis fifteen variables which effect flexibility of FMS. The results of MOORA and WEDBA approach shows that product flexibility has the top most flexibility in fifteen flexibilities and programme flexibility has the least impact in fifteen flexibilities.

Abstract:
The evaluation of the most appropriate flexibility in the manufacturing sector is one of the strategic issues that may affect the Flexibile Manufacturing System (FMS). In this paper, a Multiple Attribute Decision Making Method (MADM) methodology is structured to resolve this problem. The two decision making methods, which are Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Weighted Product Method (WPM), are integrated with Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) in order to get the best use of information available. The aim of using AHP is to give the weights of the attributes and these weights are used in SAW & WPM method for ranking of flexibility in FMS. Furthermore, the method uses fuzzy logic to change the qualitative attributes into the quantitative attributes. 15 factors are taken to evaluation of 15 flexibility. In this report, we concluded that Product Flexibility has the most impact in 15 flexibilities and Programme Flexibility has the least impact in these 15 flexibilities by this methodology.
