This study examines the relationship between Arab tourists’ culture and accommodation service quality expectations, and perceptions. Data was collected using a survey from a population sample of 305 respondents and analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression. The results of this study confirmed that demographic characteristics such as age, education level, cultural values of achievement, power, tradition and conformity were the key factors in determining Arab tourists’ expectations. The study delivers vital insights for both tourism and service accommodation sectors in sustaining the incoming flow of Arab tourist to Australia. The implications of these results for industry are also discussed.

The adoption of EVA as a compensation and management plan, generally, impacts positively the performance of companies adopting this method. However, this paper examines whether the adoption of the EVA framework enhances the firm’s performance and gauge the long-term effects of such an adoption on the firm’s value. It also assesses whether the market reacts to the announcement of the adoption of EVA as a compensation system. Moreover, the paper fills this gap in research literature by showing whether or not EVA adoption leads to a significant increase in firm value as reflected by its market prices on the long run. Growing evidence in research indicates that the stock market does not incorporate all firm information into the stock price quickly and completely (REF). Therefore, the critique that contemporaneous association between price and EVA does not reflect reality is likely to be correct. However, this paper takes a different action. The basic contention is that although prices adjust slowly to information, long horizons are sufficiently long for markets to incorporate almost all relevant information into prices. The study sample consists of 89 US firms adopted EVA as a compensation system. It compares the performance of adopting firms to that of selected matching firms and to the market indexes, particularly, the S&P500 portfolio. Then it uses two common aggregating methods to test the event of adopting EVA by different US firms namely the CAR and BHAR methods. The results obtained, however, showed a slight improvement in the performance of companies adopting EVA within five years from the date of adoption.

Despite the increased dissemination of online tools to execute financial transactions, the level of credit card usage adoption among consumers still encounters many challenges. The dissemination and adoption of credit cards to execute online purchases is influenced by certain factors that impact customers' consumption behavior. Exploring and perceiving these factors and challenges is imperative for enhancing the operations of online businesses. This study aims to examine specific factors that affect the adoption of credit cards among customers within the Jordanian online market. The factors this study explores are: Expenditure Level, Welfare of the Individual, Psychological Behavior, Credit Card Knowledge, Regulations and Laws and, finally, Theft and Fraud. This research was conducted through employing the quantitative approach; utilizing a questionnaire on a total of (335) credit card users in Jordan. The research subjects were credit card users (customers) from three Jordanian banks: Arab Banking Corporation, Housing Bank for Trade and Finance, and the Bank of Jordan. The study findings indicated that ‘Individual Welfare’ and ‘Psychological Behavior’ are the strongest influential factors on individuals' adoption of credit cards, followed by ‘Theft and Fraud’, ‘Laws and Legislation’, ‘Credit Card Knowledge’ and ‘Expenditure Level’ respectively in influence. The study recommendation encourages banks to focus more on increasing their clients' awareness regarding credit cards usage in order to enhance their perception of how to behave in case of fraud and theft and increasing their clients' awareness of the financial burdens, pitfalls, and tricks while using a credit card. Moreover, it suggests that banks should increase their marketing efforts for credit cards which can change the behavior and acceptance of individuals towards credit cards adoption.
